Rusty Impact Driver Restoration | Hitachi WH 12DM

This is old model Hitachi WH12D impact driver, used in Japan. I bought it for $10 at a Japan recycle shop. It is in very rusty condition and no longer works. I'm very happy to receive your feedback, advice, suggestions to improve myself.

Uf plastic body screw not remove.. using soldering iron...hold it on screw top of head for few seconds and then unscrew ❤❤try it

Nice to se some one else knows you can disassemble switches and refurbish them as well. Nice refurbishing of the entire drill. It was in some pretty rough shape. But you made it look good and function properly... Thumbs Up!

Nice job! BUT there is no way the armature and stator in the condition it was in would run. The magnets and winding are cooked. But still nice to see someone goes through all the effort to try.

Amazing how the thing was completely trashed inside but the batteries weren't even corroded.

@@hbrestoration Yeah I was thinking the same. But it looks like the driver was partially submerged on it's side and not in the case. The case (at least from where I sit) looks used but not too badly treated. 🤷‍♂

在中国"咸鱼"可以买到"垃圾"工具,但是你这种出土文物的品相的,我从来没有捡到过. 你太幸运了.锈蚀的比缺件的好多了.咸鱼,很多都是被换过零件的.我们把只有几张图片 描述的工具成为"打黑" ,运气好,没有换零件,可以修好,换过了.全是无法修复的,或者 缺零件的.就只能扔了. 很不错的视频.
