If you take the stock valve covers and grind the inside and take of the oil baffle cover and grind it down you will get your clearance. I have scorpion rocker arms and that how I got my clearance

You ever ran n351 heads and ford motorsports rollers with stock valve covers you literally have to radius all 4 ouside rockers for clearance i have a set now that came off a n351 they also have 100 thousands ofset in the rocker for the vavle spacing im looking for a old set of the n351 heads now

I dont recall you checking for pushrod length. I know you said you got hardened pushrods but are you sure they are the proper length? I never had clearance issues with that combination.

Sounds really good. I put scorpion 1.6 rockers on my car and the stock covers wouldnt even sit all the way down. Took the baffle out and grinded all the ribs out. Fit perfect and haven't had any issues.

Hard to find any definite answers on this but can I use the Explorer accessories drive on an Explorer motor if I put it in a Mustang Foxbody? Explorer alternator , Power Steering pump , water pump, A/C compressor on the Explorer brackets?

You can't expect for it to be fast. It's not like a five speed we're all you'll need is a gear. It will be a turd until you put a good convertor in. Then you'll get into the power band and you will have a totally different animal!!!

I ran that same cam in my '83 GT fox with a stock '87 block with fly cut pistons, world products Windsor Sr milled down for 10:1 compression, performer RPM and HP 650dp. It was backed by a TCI 3500 super street fighter converter in a C4, and 3;73 gears. That car is a beast even with 27x10.5 Micky Thompson slicks on the street!😎 That's the best all around big street/ small strip cam for the foxbody IMO! Once you get that bad boy sorted out YOU'LL LIKE I'M SURE!

I did almost the same swap, but with 185 heads, AFR,had to get new taller valve cover,I grinded the stock ones to the metal still didn't work, the taller valve covers work great.

Why I was asking you on them 1.7 RR's I read, 1.94 and 1.60 is the largest you could go without making clearance for them ...looks like you're working through it👍 Sounds Great!!

Never ever as smooth as bolting shit on and it just working with no leaks or issues. Been there a 100 times. I think its mandatory. 😁 can tell you need to step back, if you don't may be a video on explaining the wrench through the windshield!

I had stock injectors with My old HCI setup. The car ran fine. Almost 106mph in the 1/4 with that combo.

Hi mate , Need your help buddy in Australia .Just installed stage 1 trick flow track max on my mustang 1992 , 302 ho with the trick flow springs and comp cam timing chain dot to dot . The engine has new piston rings bone stock with stock heads , stock intake and stock flow meter . started the car man it sound just like stock like no cam !! played with timing , tps , throttle no change just sound like a stock car no chop at all . I thought might be the exhaust muffler or cats , took them off with open headers the cam is not hitting at all !!!! Once you put the spout back the computer just goes between 10 degree to 20 degree timining moving up and down . PLEASE HELP BRO . I called trick flow they said we don't really know what's going on you should here the cam its not aggressive but you should here it . There is a sticker on the computer some one might have played with it before I don't know and hezzing sound from intake manifold some times comes and goes like its going to explode like a steam cooker , once you switch off the you can still here it for few seconds and start again just disappears . I will do vaccum test just in case but does that effect the cam . And have not changed the push rods still same the motor runs good and plenty of power hits 6 k rpm easy no issues .

Pretty typical issue with new heads and stock valve covers, I had to remove the baffle on the one valve cover on my old fox when I did the rockers and heads also
