Where have you been all my life? lol When I was a little girl, I used to watch my desk partner trace things and I would watch her write and do her homework and it would make me so relaxed and I never understood why. Then I finally saw your videos on the news here in Toronto, I didn't know it was a real thing, I got the same tingle relaxation even seeing you on TV, so I HAD to look you up. Thank you so much.

I honestly never realized what this was and ever since I was a kid .. I'm (22) I've always got this overwhelming soothing feeling from the sound of someone whispering .. To the point where I sometimes have to break my concentration otherwise I would fall asleep. I don't get triggers from anyhting other than the sound of a gentle soothing whisper right inside the mic. Glad to see your still active on the comments from a video that's over a year old, cheers from Pennsylvania ! :)

This is an interesting concept. I, too, was turn onto this from Inside Edition. Her voice is very soothing, although sometimes I wish I could just hear the sounds of what she's touching for longer periods instead of the dialogue. Desperate for comfort, I clicked on your vid in the peace and silence of the night to relax and sleep after being traumatized by some very serious personal problems as a Marine. As I took a deep breath to relax and enjoy, a commercial ad kicks in with very loud and disorienting content...I freak out and yell out loud....my wife thinks I'm having a Gulf War flashback, fears for her life and tasers me, as I've told her to do, in case I start choking her in her sleep...anyway, won't be watching after getting zapped with 1,200 volts to the nuts. Thanks a lot...hope that commercial was worth it....

this was one of my first of ilse’s videos i ever watched! i remember seeing an asmr segment on inside edition in eighth grade, when i was going through one of the hardest times of my life (even as an adult, i look back on that time as extremely difficult. no longer the hardest time, but hard nonetheless). i looked ilse up on youtube & fell in love! she made me realize that i’d been experiencing asmr since i was a baby! allow me to elaborate; my dad used to make mouth sounds in my ear when i was a baby to calm me when i cried, or to soothe me to sleep. worked like a charm. one of my mom’s coworkers was very kind and i hung around her a lot all throughout elementary school, and she constantly chewed gum very “obnoxiously” (other people’s words, not mine) and i secretly loved it. in middle school, my friends would tell me stories very quietly at sleepovers bc we weren’t supposed to be awake so late, and i’d always fall asleep. asmr was so present throughout my childhood, and thanks to ilse, i was able to recognize it & make it an important (and permanent!) part of my life!
