Plot: Man 1 steals/ gets money from somewhere. Other man 2 tries to kill him. Man 1 escapes after a battle with man 2 (empty gun+ gun wound) and comes to this diner that is isolated and where nothing is around, to hide and rest. He pretends that everything is normal. Man 2 finds him afterwards and subtley threatens to kill him without anyone noticing. Man 2 goes away, waits close by for man 1 to get outside. Man 1 knows he is going to die and leaves the money to Marcy, that was kind enough to offer him a brownie on the house. He goes outside and sees his killer. That's why the title is literally The 'Last' Bite...he dies after that last bite. Hope now people that had a hard time will get it 😊

The weird, supernatural feel of the whole thing is why Marcy doesn't think to offer to call a doctor for a guy who clearly needs one.
