Petr Barnas Hamlet is indeed one of the few pieces that has stayed in my memory for 30 years. Yes, the music is very dark and unusual, but Petr interpreted it and the Hamlet guy superbly, a truly masterly artistic performance. However, only connoisseurs will enjoy this performance, so I think it was brave to set on this piece in the competition.

Can't believe the ISU ratified that quad. It's two-footed and a quarter turn short. Even in real time it's clear to see that the jump was not clean.

I actually like the music and costume, but I’m into gloomy and doomy things. I will admit though that it may not have been the best choice for a figure skating program, particularly an Olympics free skate.
