I've ran it on 33"s. Keep in mind you may need to bypass some sections and pay closer attention to your lines.

Are there good bypasses on this route for a more stock 4wd truck? I went up that a ways (solo) and we turned around but it was a bit out of my ability (at the time). Also do you know when they are going to close this path? I noticed in the "planning" documents it looked like last chance was going to be off limits for vehicles in the new plan. (Kind of depressing to be honest).

Have not heard the trail will be closing, but they did close nightmare gulch in the same area a few years ago and that was supposedly a great trail. There are lots of bypass along last chance, not sure what truck you have but a stock truck may be pushing it a bit. Good for you leaning on the side of caution and turning around.

@@highdesert4wheelers I might have read it wrong - the report is like 500 pages. I tried to talk to the park guys at Red Rock Canyon and they didn't have a clue about it (even though the report was on their desk). Truck is a 2021 GMC Canyon 4x4 so standard height with 30" tires. I'm out in the CC area so those places are basically in my backyard.

Is this a hard trail for a beginner. I herd u say it's fairly easy. But easy for anyone or just experienced drivers..

We like to take beginners on this trail because they can bypass most everything or try something that looks challenging to them. A beginner will find this trail more exciting than an experienced driver, although experienced drivers still enjoy taking it. I would add, for safety never wheel by yourself. The Dusy video is a good example of why.

Nice run, how wide are you from outer wheel to outer wheel? (Assuming you’re the green one)

The green jeep has stock axles, which i believe are 60.5" mount to mount. With the rims/tires it stretches to roughly 78" wide. The rims are 10" (as opposed to 8"), which makes them slightly wider than stock rims.
