Do you have a motorized tip cleaner ? is that the sound I hear when the iron goes off screen? Show that sometime, I'm old and I've never seen one.

When you use the brush on the traces you should brush in parallel with the damaged trace, not perpendicular on it, as you may rip it off.
@hddrecoveryservices10 ай бұрын
Yep
@fusseldieb10 ай бұрын
Yep, he actually ripped the trace off when he brushed it.

what do u use to clean the iron from excess solder, I can hear it on the background? Sometimes when a chip is fused to the board, I just dust it out with a small Dremel tool

Why go through the effort of replacing the pad ? Why not just jumper it? I imagine after the recovery this becomes a donor for the next job so why fix it so completely ?
@hddrecoveryservices10 ай бұрын
such a small area for jumper. I can do it, but frustration would be peaking.

@@hddrecoveryservices Well yea.. that's what we watch for :) People dont watch NASCAR for the race, they watch for the wrecks . BTW I went to join your Patreon but the minimum was too much for my tax bracket. Need a smaller tier for those like me that don't care about getting something extra in return - Just wanted to support the effort you already make as much as we can.
