I can't express how much I love this movie. Perfect in every way. You know a movie is good when you laugh through the whole thing and cry at the end. David Gates couldn't have written a more perfect song. Richard Dreyfuss deserved his Oscar win for this. Marsha Mason, Quinn Cummings, Neil Simon and David Gates should have won Oscars, too.

I was 30. All my life I was the "Goodbye Guy" ! I met the love of my life on December 31, 1977. Two months later I saw this movie. They proved to me it was time to stop saying Goodbye. We were together for 40 years until they passed in 2017. I was truly loved..

Great song and personally Dreyfuss is the reason this remains a great movie rather tha a dated 70s movie. Beautiful theme by Gates. Still a classic.
