One thing I’ve noticed is that the Q400 always blends in with large jets because its fuselage looks like that of other jets and it stands out from most other props! For crying out loud, it’s bigger than the E175 which is just an average sized regional jet and the E-Jet still dwarfs pretty much all GA aircraft.

I can plane spot from my house, I live near Dulles....though not the actual take offs and landings, just the low approaches and planes immediately after take off. I remember when the Concorde would fly in and out, it would shake the whole house and not even flying supersonic at that point, but very loud still. Have flown most of these airlines, United, American, Delta, British Airways, Lufthansa, TAP, Royal Air Maroc, Ethiopian, Air France, Icelandair, Emirates, SW, Porter, Turkish airlines
