Lol - After 8 yrs of using HT-IV300 today I came to know that my sony home theater HT-IV300 has ARC Support whereas I was thinking till today that my HT does not have an ARC port and I was relying on Optical Port for the audio transfer whereas I could have enjoyed using ARC to avoid using 2 remotes which are quite frustrating on daily basis.

HDMI can handle Hi Res audio like Dolby Atmos, but an optical cannot. So when u said HDMI and Optical are same, that not true. You said that the only diff is that optical can carry only audio whereas HDMI can carry both but that not the difference. HDMI is superior than optical cable.
