I like your videos dude. Music is sick, the honesty in you is refreshing to hear. I'm not even an FPV pilot YET, but I got my simulator and a radio so I'm on my way. While I learn to fly, I listen to your videos and learn about what's going to work for me, before I spend ridiculous amounts of money on the hobby. Keep on grinding buddy, keep us up to date on FPV.

It's got loads of potential. Just gonna take time I think 🤔 I'm holding out for the goggles rather than buying the module .

So this camera really looks best when it's setup correctly, run in 4:3 on the camera and the output of the VRX, setup the color profile with fixed WB, increase saturation and adjust contrast to taste. Also make sure the high gain option is turned off during the day it'll wash out the contrast. My preference is a 2.4mm lens so it has less fisheye then stock 2.1mm.

You'll have a lot more "wow" reaction on a sunny day with some color and more detail in the environment. Also, crank the camera saturation up to 6 or 7 - this is going to be the new default because it compares to analog camera's super-high saturation and really pops - it's like a fruit salad for your eyeballs!

Analog is superior for range reliability penetration it’s nemesis is interference. Digital can transmit faster and more data but it works on error rates and compensates for dead data files digital will never be as good as analog could be if there is no interference. All we need to do is shut down all airports any military radio, cb and walkie-talkie and any Wi-Fi close to 2.4ghz and we won’t need hd lol

I went with DJI back when I was moving up from box goggles, before HDZero was really a thing... DJI still has the best video quality but I sure don't love them. HDZero still has a while to come up, so maybe in the future if DJI ever does ditch us completely, then it will be the move. Either way I also want to see them succeed especially if they want to build an open system.

the advantage of hdzero was the fixed latency, and also the amont of bandwidth it uses, same as anologue so can fly upto 8 pilots at same time. ive also noticed some peoples hdzero looks better than others. a few the video looks out of focus and some super sharp, duno if maybe some cameras are just bad

I like your footage. Nice style and music. Just from watching the posts on analog and HDZero, the HDZero looks substantial better. I agree it is less digital like DJI. They say it is partly due to the cameras. The DJI Camera is just better. DJI with Polar or Phoenix HD is also not that great.

I could be wrong, but it looks like you have the goggle module in 16:9 and the camera in 4:3? I did this with my first HDZero build and the image looked stretched and the clarity wasn't there. I actually run the Scout HD Goggles, so it could be different with the module. I love my HDZero, I know DJI video is excellent, but I can't give them my money. BTW, I now fly in 4:3, the clarity seems better and I like that vertical field of view.

Wezley Varty on YT is getting 18 miles of range out of the HDZero, way more than DJI. I'm still waiting to see what all the new HD systems will be doing before ditching my analog setup. The HDZero whoops hitting the market are looking insane as well.

Dam in uk we are restricted to 25mw so obviously I don’t have my air units set to 1.2w but I don’t even get far out of eyesight before it pixelates to hard to fly. Probably something to do with being in London for most part but never get long range no matter what antenna or area I’m in

I thing HDZero is only for FPV Racer. Bad range with allowed 25mW in EU. DJI FPV is still the best BNF system for a beginner or freestyler, long range drone. Maybee in 1 year we have another situation and HDZero have better "easy to use" FPV system with a available HDZero goggles.

I have a 5" freestyle VRX build...you will see some crazy ass rainbow screen breakup when you get into multipathing environment. I have lost video within 100 yards...it will pucker you up when you can't see shit. DJI hands down has better penetration in bandos.

I will say, while an annoying company. I enjoy their FPV Scout analog model. It's a nice set of goggles - though i believe it's just a rebranded generic from China. It's a nice build regardless. For a beginner like myself - it's got everything i need.
