This guy is very ill-informed on his purchase..he spent $80,000 on a tool box setup and most of his responses were “ I don’t know or I think so”. My guess, being that he is a professional race car driver, his accountant told him to spend money because any profit or winnings is taxed at the end of the year..probably about 38%. So why not, it’s a write off..buy something or give it to Uncle Sam?? I’ll buy all day…

I grew up around various dirt track series and almost every driver, shop owner, mechanic had massive boxes from MAC because of the massive discount and the writeoffs you could do by continuing to buy week after week... Like some of these guys had 1000 plus dollar sets they never opened they just bought for a write off and said one day i might need it...
@daltonbrasier54918 сағат бұрын
Not sure why you would spend $100 to save $38.
@tommyk10737 сағат бұрын
@ so if you make $100 profit..you’re ok with giving the government $38 of it? When they did nothing? Common business sense says take the $100 profit, go buy a tool with that profit. With less profit comes less tax. And the tool you purchased can be expensed over its useful life or you can take a total, one-time deduction.

I love the foam. I have most of the tools and a couple masters series boxes. The foam itself in that box would probably be 5k from Snap-On. I think the reason for the negative comments is his opinions on the tools, which most of which he doesn't even know are there, and the people that watch these videos wish they could afford that and would be able to tell you everything about them if they had them. This guy just isn't into tools like we are, and that's ok. Stop hating. If you want some advice from me to be able to afford this stuff: get an A&P license if you are actually mechanically capable. I like the box, the lighting is really nice and it’s good colors, but these tools are the stuff you’d see in a “master set” or something that is sold to SEP for new techs. Like who honestly needs ALL these hand tools? You can tell with how his responses are that he has no use for any of these hardly and did little to no research on the box before buying it. I’m sure he wrenches and im sure he will use a bunch of them but I feel like the set is way too padded, there’s no reason to have that many hand tools and no diagnostic tools. No oscilloscope, no scan tool, no pin set, no multimeter. I’m sure he has some somewhere but as a singular purchase that box without the tools would be a lot better box than it is kitted out with a bunch of pretty useless junk you will never have a need for.

Does nothing for me either in regards to so much waste of space with the foam. It’s a 68” Epiq with a 36” Epiq side box. If you strike at the right time you can get that 104” box for 15k max brand new if not less. That’s with no trade in’s and no tools of course. How many mechanics out their feel they actually need a snap on 1/2 drive master chrome set? Not hating as we all no way one with any sense would pay retail 80k for that setup. I’d say you could pick up a cloud 9 for low 50’s.
