Eddie was one of the most accommodating guests I've had on this channel. The shop was easily the quietest dealership I've ever been to, thanks to Eddie! What a SETUP!! We have two things in common. We love tools. AND we sometimes buy tools for absolutely NO REASON! I love his philosophy on buying cheap tools to test out his liking of them before spending good money on higher quality tools. Thank you so much Eddie! It was a ton of fun hanging out with you and talking tools for a couple hours. If you enjoyed the tour Eddie took us on, give this video a Like!
Here are some Amazon Affiliate Links for some of the tools in the video. As always, prices fluctuate, so prices posted in the video are from during filming.

Gotta say, when he was going over the screwdrivers and finally got to, "The only ones you'll ever need." at 29:09. was pumped to know I made a good choice getting the Vessel Impactas. I absolutely love mine and recommend them to anyone. They fit so well a horizontal screw will hold up the weight of the screwdriver if you let go.

Eddie has a nice collection, however his experience and charisma was better than the tool show! His mantra of buying it cheap first, and if used buy the good stuff was great advice. Also having worked at an independent shop in the 90s, I noticed all the older never used tools. Timing light, clutch alignment, and the dang robo wrench...I lol'ed on that one.

As a Mercedes Mechanic from Europe these Videos are really interesting. Over here the norm is for the Dealership to provide all of the tools you will need. The idea that you have to put up a big chunk of your own money is strange to me. Here the financial burden is on the company. Its also an upside if you change from one shop with a specific car brand to another, then you leave your tools at your old shop and at your new workplace they will already have the tools specific to the cars of that brand Maybe someone has some insights into the US system Its interesting to me to see the differences

The only thing i don’t like about my borescope is the camera wire is stiff and springy, it can be hard to manipulate in tight spaces, especially if i need to rotate the camera around. at 50:24 I hated my Icon light, the strong detents and extra long body of the light meant that it had tons of leverage on an already meh magnet which meant it got knocked down a lot in the short time of having it and it was going to have a short life with all those drops from just bumping it, having to cycle through all of the modes each time was ridiculous since my cheaper black Icon light remembered which setting it had used last. The UV light was mid level at best certainly much better rechargeable options out there for less than $20. The black Icon light when modified to face the right direction (10 min mod) is by far a better light and for less money. Hell the Braun has a fantastic magnet and easily swappable battery for all day use. I really wanted the red Icon light to be awesome it just wasn't
