I am Chinese. Just to clear some stereotypes, there are two types of Chinese branded things when it comes to bikes: garbage we don't even dare buy ourselves, and very nice cost-performance genuine products that we appreciate. And there are certainly a decent number of them that are categorized into the latter. It's good to see people are taking those seriously designed and manufactured Chinese cycling products seriously, and acknowledge and appreciate the cost-performance they provide.

How are Twitter bikes viewed in China? What bike companies in China are making the best road bikes?
@jerryjin34272 жыл бұрын
@@ericvutran4140 I've seen people ridden their bikes, but honestly it's not a popular brand, and has few reviews, so I couldn't give any comments. Brands like XDS, PARDUS, JAVA have way larger fan base, and there are many reviews on those bikes, you can do some research yourself. Personally I like the design of SEKA frames. The overall design is on the more original side of the spectrum, and the paintjob is just astonishing. But unfortunately they are a young Shanghainese brand focusing on high-end, and few local mainland Chinese people know about them. But it seems like they still got some good, trustworthy international reviews. Cam Nicholls reviewed his SEKA EXCEED in 2021.

@@thegrowl2210 You need to be very lucky with chinese parts. Even for a reputable brands quality control is just miserable. I've bought gravel frameset from a brand called Winspace, which has stellar reviews. But it came with poor quality coating, that started to came off in pieces. And i dont know if its quality of a paint they used, or a carbon has voids inside so whole frame flexes too much, destroying the paint layer. Brake caliper mountings were way off, so i had to sand them and re-tool holes. Even after this brakes doesnt work too well. Cause brakes arent aligned to a rotors properly. And the geometry itself wasnt quite what i hoped for. Bike is quite twitchy and almost dangerous at speed. I guess they just send golden samples to a reviewers. And rest of us gets whatever is left.

There is a forum dedicated to us nerds researching Chinese parts. Get on it and see what parts / companies have a good rep - chances are like @Francis Cade someone already has been a Guinea pig. -be patient. They are often the "house brand" of those OEMs. It's possible that these frame may not have exactly the same layup or QC protocol as brand name frames, but they are all made by a legitimate, vetted manufacturers.
