This is sad and it's really sad he lost all his investments. However the thing is how do we know what really happened at the very beginning? Normally, government land and planned high ways are clearly documented years and even decades ahead? How did he miss this in his due dilligence ? Or did the civil servants at the lands commission lie to him? Or did the owner pay bribes to acquire the land and building permit, etc. knowing full well it is government land ? In Nigeria and my native Ghana, there's too much indiscipline and many disregard the rules because they can. So until I know the full facts I won't apportion blame. . If he built the resort without due dilligence or after paying bribe, then we can't blame the government for enforcing the law. However those civil servants who granted him building permits, etc under those circumstances need to be brought to account too. Until we start enforcing the rule of law in Africa and people are held to account, nothing will change

The minister of works' boss, the president, is the actual beast. A white substance dealer by the way. He forfeited over $400k in Chicago in the 90s to the authorities. The construction company handling that project is owned by his Lebanese money launderer. The president's son was recently made a member of board of one of the sister companies to the construction company. That road project that resort was demolished for is being funded illegally to the tune of a wild amount for just a short distance of it. The project didn't go through due process before the president's buddy's construction company mobilised to site. That road project could have been started from the other end to give the business ample time to wind down, but the artificial island project the Lebanese money launderer owns needs to expand, therefore that resort needs to go.

He acquired land though a royal family, not Lagos or federal government. He was not the most affected. There were 4 other beach businesses, all of them were affected. The Fulanis using their tribe and Islam religion, is the main problem in Nigeria. The British set up the Fulani minority to undermine development in Nigeria. You read in the news about Fulanis terrorizing and grabbing the Yorubas, Igbos lands. The Fulanis are also oppressing the Hausas who are the biggest tribe of Nigeria and also Moslems like the Fulanis!! If Africans were able to condemn the racist White minority in South Africa, then Africans who oppress and kill fellow Africans based on their religion or ethnic group should be vehemently opposed and defeated in their evil towards fellow Africans. The same should apply to the minority Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamites who have militarily been set up by Britain and USA, to oppress the Bantu majority in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo,😮 and have committed genocide on close to 20 million fellow Africans which has been covereup by the West. Kagame and Museveni's extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite refugee hegemonists first committed genocide of over 1.5 million on Indigenous Ugandans and tookover the Uganda government which😢 has been covered up by Western governments. Through the West having played up the Rwandan genocide and particularized the Rwanda genocide on only the Tutsis. In order for the West to coverup Museveni, Kagame and their kindred Tutsi refugee first genocide on Indigenous Ugandans and usurpation of the Uganda government in 1986!!

@@Mkym365He did a great job. The people making dump decisions are the ones to blame for the woes of Nigerians. We need a lot of these videos to expose the injustices going on there so that other people will be aware of the salvages running the country so they don’t make the same mistakes. When you work for money and a bunch of pigs wake up and ruin the fruits of your labor, you will know how painful it is.

@Mkym365 You are not honest with the truth. So those foreign investment that left the country since Apc led administration took power was as a result of these independent investigations which could have been swept over the cardboard. People like Landmark should have been celebrated coming to invest in a country where security is not guaranteed, where law is compromised and system that does not promote private business

Every disappointment is a blessing. He will build something even bigger in Lagos, possibly in a better location. This setback might actually be a blessing in disguise. I have no doubt that he will come back stronger, better, and richer because Nigerians are resilient. We know how to re-strategize and emerge bigger and better. Things will improve. He is a smart man, he knows what to do.

This is one of your most consequential videos you have made that I have personally watched. Being an African entrepreneur takes a special kind of emotional intelligence and this man has it in spades!!!! When we say "This is Africa", this here, is what it means: The good, the bad and definitely the ugly. It is what it is ($200 million, regardless!). He did everything right: bought and paid for the land, got all his permits, etc.... I applaud him. Respect!

Landmark should have built the thing in Port Harcourt. Next time he should build it in Port Harcourt, or Aba or Onitsha waterfronts. He will still make money. People will come from all the states in the Eastern region, plus tourists from abroad and other Nigerian states. He should make sure to build at least a Sixteen floor hotel by his waterfront Eastern location.
