I disagree with the decision no Matter what the situation and there were more ways to resolve this than to destroy it but the question is are they even ready for the roads they are talking of or just to destroy someone's business. I love the founder's positive energy and his believe that he will bounce back. How can Africans invest in their own country if their investments won't be safe.Whoever took this decision will never have good sleep 😭

Wode, you better know the facts before you start to post rubbish. He neer owned the beach. His building is still standing there. Don't fall for the victimhood crying and wailing lies. The road will be more beneficial to more Nigerians than the beach. Also, he's not the only one in the area that had their beach from taken away.

Yes, the govt did exactly what needed to be done. You fell for the lies and propaganda. Do your research before posting such rubbish trash in the future. Landmark is still standing, what the govt took away is the beach that he never owned. Is that too hard to understand? Also, what about the other businesses along that area doing the same businesses? Victimhood saleslave mentality has killed this man's business. he's crying wolf for nothing. Majority of Nigerians ar happy about the project except for a few from certain area.

This is sad and it's really sad he lost all his investments. However the thing is how do we know what really happened at the very beginning? Normally, government land and planned high ways are clearly documented years and even decades ahead? How did he miss this in his due dilligence ? Or did the civil servants at the lands commission lie to him? Or did the owner pay bribes to acquire the land and building permit, etc. knowing full well it is government land ? In Nigeria and my native Ghana, there's too much indiscipline and many disregard the rules because they can. So until I know the full facts I won't apportion blame. . If he built the resort without due dilligence or after paying bribe, then we can't blame the government for enforcing the law. However those civil servants who granted him building permits, etc under those circumstances need to be brought to account too. Until we start enforcing the rule of law in Africa and people are held to account, nothing will change

The minister of works' boss, the president, is the actual beast. A white substance dealer by the way. He forfeited over $400k in Chicago in the 90s to the authorities. The construction company handling that project is owned by his Lebanese money launderer. The president's son was recently made a member of board of one of the sister companies to the construction company. That road project that resort was demolished for is being funded illegally to the tune of a wild amount for just a short distance of it. The project didn't go through due process before the president's buddy's construction company mobilised to site. That road project could have been started from the other end to give the business ample time to wind down, but the artificial island project the Lebanese money launderer owns needs to expand, therefore that resort needs to go.

No, he did a lot of complaining and gave the world the impression that he was targeted, that he was a victim. Everything he said in Wode's video was just PR...Works Minister, Engineer Dave Umahi met with him twice. When they asked for legal papers for the beach land, he could not produce it. He acquired land though a royal family, not Lagos or federal government. He was not the most affected. There were 4 other beach businesses, all of them were affected. There were royal families that lost miles of beach land, there were communities cut in half or may have to relocate to a different area. In the rank of those who lost land or business, Landmark may not crack the top 10...but he was the one making the MOST NOISE....

As a Nigerian, it's so sad that our leaders fail to see the futuristic avenue in recreational facilities. The funny thing here is this, as at today being the 24th of May, 2024. The Nigerian government has stopped the project of building the coastal highway that led to the destruction of people's investments. Leaving thousands of people jobless. Government are quick to destroy what they did not build. Now that the project has stopped, what is the faith of the investor?

@@ngkaruku If he didn't get proper approvals, he as learned as he his wouldn't build there. I pray he rises like a Phoenix from all these. We had our very famous Bar Beach taken over and construction going on to build a so called Eko Atlantic city which is being built by a company run by some influential Lebanese people/ company and supported by the Federal and Lagos state government. For years now, it has been ongoing. How come those structures they are building are not coming down? They are along the same costal line. I think they wanted those businesses gone to make way for them and their cronies. The wickedness and corruption they have is unmatched. They seem to forget that nothing lasts forever and there is Karma. How do you no say, you stop the route because you have now discovered cables are passing through? I have friends and colleagues whose businesses and livelihoods were destroyed and in this our current economy. Many times, we don't understand our so-called leaders and how wicked and destructive they can be. We will continue to do what we can but it is tiring and often demoralizing. The government most times don't genuinely help for anything but then they place heavy taxes, destroy and seem ben on killing people's businesses, dreams and their spirits. Some people might never recover from this destruction. I wish everyone affected the strength to go on.

Go to Lagos and see Igbo properties being destroyed left and right. The Fulanis using their tribe and Islam religion, is the main problem in Nigeria. The British set up the Fulani minority to undermine development in Nigeria. You read in the news about Fulanis terrorizing and grabbing the Yorubas, Igbos lands. The Fulanis are also oppressing the Hausas who are the biggest tribe of Nigeria and also Moslems like the Fulanis!! If Africans were able to condemn the racist White minority in South Africa, then Africans who oppress and kill fellow Africans based on their religion or ethnic group should be vehemently opposed and defeated in their evil towards fellow Africans. The same should apply to the minority Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamites who have militarily been set up by Britain and USA, to oppress the Bantu majority in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo,😮 and have committed genocide on close to 20 million fellow Africans which has been covereup by the West. Kagame and Museveni's extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite refugee hegemonists first committed genocide of over 1.5 million on Indigenous Ugandans and tookover the Uganda government which😢 has been covered up by Western governments. Through the West having played up the Rwandan genocide and particularized the Rwanda genocide on only the Tutsis. In order for the West to coverup Museveni, Kagame and their kindred Tutsi refugee first genocide on Indigenous Ugandans and usurpation of the Uganda government in 1986!!

The fact that so many Africans leave or try to leave Africa you’d have to be slow to think it doesn’t happen to them. The problem is scamming, backstabbing and myopic mindset have become ingrained into their culture which makes it hard for honest and hardworking Africans to exist peacefully and prosper.

They don't want to build anything, It's just a tribe ha8ing another tribe for been successful. The route for the building of the road has been made years back, and it was in another location, that is what give the man the assurance to continue developing the place. But because of their bad intention, they change the location just some months ago. And after they finished the demolition of the beach, they bend the road back to connect with the original plan. Just because this man tribe didn't vote for the current president. He started demolishing the properties own by this man tribe, the Igbos. That is just the bitter truth and everybody in Nigeria know this.

The president of the country is the actual beast.
