Just get a Pull-Pal. It is fast and easy and has saved my butt countless times in Utah's west desert when a rock or tree is miles away and on top of Utah's mountains in the middle of massive snow fields. I frequently offroad alone and at 65 it's been my insurance that I'll always get home. I always keep supplies in case I don't but it hasn't failed me in 30+ years.

Anyone I’ve ever known says and to my experience, wet sand is easier to drive on then dry sand in basically any situation so idk what planet you’re on
@sterlingswildwestАй бұрын
@@johnstevens7643 it’s true with 100 to 200 horses. Low range and wet sand are godsends for low horsepower rigs. Rigs over 700 horses traveling in wet sand at 50 to 75 mph is bumpy as heck and your tires catch all the ruts. Kills power and slows you down. Watch the vid where we climbed choke Cherry. Dry as a bone and I crested it at 60mph in 4H 🙌
@drunkchicken8636Ай бұрын
@@sterlingswildwest We should have sand freeways instead of asphalt. LOL
@roycehartman32521 күн бұрын
High horsepower is a pretty ridiculous argument. Lack of throttle control is a much more sound argument. Wet sand is more bumpy, I completely agree, it's also much easier to stay on top of! Yeah wet sand is also heavier but your not having to plow through it as suggested. A couple tips, don't crank the wheel as hard as you can, light steering inputs are better, don't brake hard, if possible don't use brakes, and lastly throttle control, you don't have to use all 700 hp off the launch, roll into it!
@SasquatchUTV16 күн бұрын
No way yall would have made it up if the sand was dry
@sterlingswildwest15 күн бұрын
You haven’t watched many of our vids then because we’ve flown up and over many times in the dry and faster 🙌
@drunkchicken8636Ай бұрын
Wet sand provides traction and float. Your size of horsepower doesn't matter, lay off the gas leadfoot. Soft sand robs power from your vehicle, wet sand stays together to increase float and traction.

Yeah, if you're off-roading, sure. But if you're not, you're just baking your tire in the sun. Dry rotting one side slowly. I made that mistake once already. Bought a tire cover next day.
