It’s annoying when people say “but he had to save Stolas from danger a lot” yeah, but this is the first time he couldn’t be there and Stolas actually got hurt. He never saw him get hurt before, so he didn’t know if it was even possible, but the thought that he could terrified him, like the realization that Stolas is a person too who actually needs him

Why does everybody complain about this line so much? Blitzo has shown to care about his Stolas' well being before. Let's not act like he didn't save his life from Striker in the Harvest Moon Festival, drive him back home when he could've just left him at Ozzie's even though he was upset and humiliated in public, hold his hand while running out a burning building in Seeing Stars (i.e. *two* episodes prior to this) and even in this very episode sends Moxxie and Millie to rescue Stolas from Striker because he had to take of Loona. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have even bothered to send M&M to save Stolas.

If Blitz truly didn't know he could get hurt then why would he have cared to stop Striker in Harvest Moon at all? Moxxie knows angelic weapons can kill demon royalty, there ain't no way that Blitz didn't know and understand the risks that Striker being out there posed to Stolas' well being.

I think it's more so he never expected Stolas to actually get hurt. Like out of all the times he's had to deal with him, save his life, or get saved by Stolas, Blitzo didn't think Stolas would ever be in a situation where he'd actually be in mortal danger. Sorta in the sense of... "He can't be. He's Stolas. He can't get hurt, he's not supposed to get hurt." The story makes it seem like Stolas can't be harmed with traditional weaponry, or at least not damaged enough. And it's not like every assassin out to get a Goetia is armed with Angelic Weapons to begin with. So... I think it's moreso Blitzo is so used to people targeting Stolas with ineffective weapons that he forgot Stolas is *not* unstoppable. So when presented with the truth, he can't process it. I dunno. Maybe I'm thinking too hard on this.

This is sending me mixed signals. Sure, it shows he cares. But the next scene, he literally leaves stolas on read, destroying that, and he already knew that stolas could get killed from the blessed weapons. So either, blitzo has dementia, some form of actual brain damage, or just is faking this "emotion". Any of these ways, it's destroyed his character for me.

I think the meaning is lost here. He's not just talking about Stolas getting physically injured, he's also talking about emotionally. He saw Stolas as this upperclass noble who looked down on the lowerclass and didn't have the ability to get emotionally damaged. But seeing Stolas vulnerable like this, he realized he csn be hurt. Both physically and emotionally.

@@Blitzardø Because Blitz obviously knew that Stolas could get hurt. If he thought it was impossible, he wouldn’t have gone to the lengths he did in Season 1 Episode 5 to save Stolas, risking his life. Also, in Season 2 Episode 6, Stolas is completely fine and doesn’t even have a scratch on him, even though he got hurt extremely badly just two episodes ago. Those kinds of injuries would take a year, or maybe even more to recover from! Episode 6 only takes place a week after Episode 4, and we know this because of some of Striker’s dialogue.
