stolas' texts to blitzo and the utter lack of response from blitzo and the constant apologizing and the constant attempts to just spend normal time with blitzo is so sad. you can see so clearly how much stolas is moving away from the sexual aspect of their relationship and how he is genuinely trying to form a closer bond with blitzo outside of sex. simply yearning to just be around him and molding to what blitzo wants, asking him what he wants to do, reassuring him that it's fine if he's tired, waiting on him, and catering to what blitzo wants even if stolas wants more because stolas doesnt want to scare him off or make blitzo uncomfortable. those text messages are just really sad to read and become even sadder upon reading blitzo's one word/zero depth/short hand replies

@@SakuraGurl808 i can relate to that, with my ex, I would be the one texting a bunch want to know how they are with her doing just anything to just get their attention, and I would only most of the time receive one-word replies like 3-6 hours later, and so I would have to be the one pushing to have some sort of a communications funny enough when we finally broke up, they said that they wanna continue being friends and so I said sure at first, but then I thought about it and I told myself why should I be putting my time and energy into someone who clearly doesn't care about having any type of relationship with me, so I basically tested them and I didn't send any more text as soon as I stop they never texted me again and that really just put into perspective how little they cared about me, it's heartbreaking but it was damn necessary

7:44 the way Moxxie refuel the car while fighting the guy was so badass, its like he wasnt even trying, he was just annoyed that they were wasting his time and also was annoyed that the reason they even started the fight was because of the hat his WIFE gave him. So funny how little of a threat these guys actually were to an experienced killer like Moxxie. The funniest part? He didn't even use a gun once, he didn't even have to, even tho he only uses guns when they need to kill someone.

It’s weird to realize how calm and almost cocky Stolas was when he was first kidnapped, but I think it was because he was so confident that Blitzø would save him. (similar to the loo loo land episode) He only got scared when he thought Blitzø wasn’t coming.

It is actually sad when you think of the parallelism from both episodes: Stolas was saved by Millie and Moxxie because Blitzø was busy with his own stuff. But, unlike that episode, Stolas couldn't defend himself. He needed to be saved, and he wanted Blitzø to be the one doing it... 😢

but that last line “He can get hurt?” says a lot. Blitz was under the impression that Stolas was so powerful he could NEVER really get hurt (which is why he didn’t go himself). And now that Stolas WAS hurt (and that he can possibly be killed), it’s obviously going to have him rethink things as he has to reevaluate some things for himself now. Also, if you look at the texts at the end, Stolas was the initiator of the convos. This was the first time Blitz initiated the convo (and probably wasn’t work related or a booty call). And the typing bubble that never has another text come in shows it’s still an uphill battle as he obviously has difficulties talking about feelings, but he’s trying.

Please no. I'm a fan of Stolitz, but I'm getting sick and tired of Stolas fans acting like there is no class/power imbalance between the two. Blitz cares about Stolas but his daughter Loona is important too. And unlike Stolas, a prince who everyone dropped everything and their mother for, Blitz doesn't get that luxury. He had to wait 5 years for this important appointment for Loona. Hell Blitz started blasting the car when he heard Striker on the line and only relented when M&M said they would handle it. Blitz isn't perfect, the texts show that, but he didn't leave Stolas high and dry.

“He can get HURT?” That really made my heart sink, Blitzø never even once considered how Stolas might feel throughout their relationship, he felt like “he’s an immortal prince, he’ll get over it”. But it took Stolas to genuinely get physically hurt for Blitzø to realize that he isn’t unbreakable, even if he never saw how much he suffered mentally, he is finally starting to realize that he’s in pain.

its all under the mindset that Cash Buckzo got Blitz into. Hearing from his dad that royal folk are immortal, doesnt care much, have no emotions etc formed Blitz's mind.. Dating Veronica might have proved rich snotty fucks in his brain, that he thought Stolas was like that too. But him (stolas) getting physically hurt, made Blitz question a bit, got surprised, was bit guilty that he didnt believe for a sec about stolas really being in distress (because we've seen that stolas can fake being a damsel in distress mode for Blitz to come and save him), then was a bit sad and left a text (he couldnt find words to continue.).

I love the detail of the flower petals at the end. When the second one fell I suddenly thought of that "loves me, loves me not" game. One petal fell, blitzo texted him, "he loves me". Then another falls when he doesn't respond, "he loves me not". Then two more fall, a little bit of hope, then the last petal of that flower falls off as Stolas realises blitzo won't come to see him. As if the scene wasn't heart wrenching already...

it likely won't. Blitz I don't think has ever considered a situation where Stolas wouldn't be there. Lore wise it seems Stolas is all but a GOD within Hell so the concept of "hurting" him in any way shape or form likely doesn't even occur to Blitz, and as far as their relationship I also don't think Blitz sees it as such, his life has been full of people using him so I don't think he's ever processed WHAT he actually FEELS for Stolas. This moment I think really kinda shook Blitz and his worldview and I expect we'll see him struggling with some stuff emotionally here soon. It's clear there's SOMETHING there, but whether or not Blitz knows how to express that without the crippling fear of getting hurt I don't know. I see the two working incredibly well together but they both need to understand where the other is coming from

Being used like this SUCKS. Because Blitz is being a user and not communicating his feelings, using stolas when he's convenient, pushing him away when he's not. Playing with people's feelings due to trauma is NOT ok, because everyone has issues, period. And people like Stolas will sacrifice EVERYTHING (he was raised to do so) if the other person let's them. I hope Blitz will realize that and either tell Stolas he's not intrested or that he is, and they talk about what happened. And I hope he will let Stolas know HE DOES NOT have to sacrifice everything for him and he will address his own inferiority complex! Stolas is so articulate and verbose, while Blitzø is terse and barely literate. And the way Blitzø types at the end and then deletes his reply shows that sometimes he just doesn't know how to express genuine emotions. I hope Stolas realizes that sometimes Blitzø really does care but doesn't know how to say it. Stolas has enough magical and political power that he can choose to show vulnerability, but imps are a lot weaker. Blitzø doesn't always seem to know how to feel safe with someone.

I think when Blitzø says "He can get hurt?" Isnt about him worrying about Stolas (the scene of concern is the one of the text) this on the other hand, is about Blitzø realizing that Stolas is not an unreachable being, that he can GET HURT like anyone else, and can suffer. Blitzø finally starts to see Stolas as a "person" who can FEEL. He looks so surprised, it's like he was not really aware that Stolas can be hurt despite how powerful he is. He is finally seeing Stolas for who he is, not for his status.

A well represented conversation between someone that try to not be as hurtfull as possible, lying that he's okay when is not, and another who doesnt want to open up yet cause of the fear to be hurt. Theyre relationship is so complexe but still isnt completely broken or hopeless. I like to see that and how they will evolve to turn it into something more healthy, even if its not romantic. It show a more "real"/not perfect approach of emotion and romance that can give hope to spectators who find themselves stuck into the same position

Yeah reading threw the texts seem Stolas is kind of walking on eggshells. He threw everything away for Blitzo, albeit he hated all of it. That last text from Blitzo showed more emotion and care than any of his previous texts together. I'm not sure about those flowers falling. I know Stolas has a penchant for dangerous, poisons, and probably venemous plants. I'm guessing the upper echelon know that about him, and all sent him a generic one or the most expensive one. The petals fell too many times in focus to be just coincidence. Think Stolas is getting more hardened. That plant without flowers is just eyeball and spikes. Think we are finally brewing up to a real couple fight with stolas and blitzo. Hopefully ending well.

I love the symbolism at the end with the flower petals obviously stating the "He loves me, he loves me not" game, yet they do NOT give away in what order it could be ending on "he loves me not" since the first petal fell when he was alone and got the message, then when no reply came in, the third when he put down the phone, and the fourth before the end, stating he gives up hope for Blitz to love him. However, if you turn it around, he was alone (loves me not) he saw blitz text and even him trying to respond to Stolas (loves me), then the third petal fell after he put down the phone disappointed (loves me not) and a forth one, without any reason falling, because Stolas has that sliver of hope and Blitz may be finally realizing there is more to their relationship than just Stolas using him rather than actually needing him.

I think its a huge moment for Blitzo, he is realizing that Stolas isnt the all powerful invincible guy he thought he was. I think Blitzo lives to take care of others and maybe if he can try to take care of stolas instead of just take orders from him he would find some purpose and meaning in their relationship. No pressure." 17:26) He wants Blitzø to know that he values him for more than the sex they have and genuinely cares about him. The way that Stolas writes these long paragraphs to make sure Blitzø has reassurance is so adorable. Also, how Blitzø writes short responses, which probably hints to the face that he doesn't really know how to show love to the people he cares about. He still wants to show Stolas he cares, and he lets Stolas do what he's comfortable with. He also doesn't force anything, ("Wutevr u want. In the text messages, Stolas is eloquent and outspoken while Blitzo, being mostly uneducated and way less fortunate than Stolas, has trouble communicating on the same level. The last time Blitzo saw Stolas in front of the hospital, Stolas was absolutely swarmed. Blitzo may have wanted to visit but probably thought Stolas wouldn’t have time for him because he’s so important. Little does Blitzo know, Stolas is lonely and everyone was there superficially and left. They’re so close to understanding each other but not quite there

1. the delivery of Stolas's "don't you dare breathe a word about my daughter" was FLAWLESS i got chills 2. after rewatching it i finally got the double meaning when Blitz says "he can get hurt?". in order to keep himself from growing attached to Stolas (or to try to get rid of the attachment that was already there) he's constantly trying to convince himself that Stolas is just a ditzy untouchable royal who looks down on the lower class and isn't affected by anything Blitz says or does. but when Stolas gets badly physically injured, Blitz can no longer ignore the fact that Stolas is in fact very real and very vulnerable just like anybody else, and that Blitz is in fact very capable of hurting him. What I love about Stolas is that, despite all the h*rny goofball appearance, the show makes sure to remind the audience that there's a reason he's mentioned in the Keys of Solomon. From what it sounds like, those texts are from after Ozzies, and so Blitz is a lot more dettached due to his own trauma and so while stolas is trying his best to just be a friend with Blitz and not be sexual Blitz still is in a retreated state with "K", "whatever" those kind of things, but as soon as Stolas actually gets hurt Blitz opens up a bit more, it could be a "this is too much for even my own trauma and such to hold me back from saying 'get better soon'" or it could be a realization that Stolas and by extension Blitz's emotional stability can be hurt without Blitz even being in the picture. And so he talks back with Stolas, but as soon as he gets a reply he falls back down into his depressive hole and can't talk anymore.

his texts remind me of the way a lot of men text. especially if they are dyslexic. the guy could be the smartest, funniest person irl, but just doesn't have the textual communication skills. it's a really nice detail, and shows his lack of formal education and communication issues both general and emotional, hints to his childhood trauma, and drives home that there's something else that went down when he was younger that we don't know about yet, all in a couple of seconds. this is why I love this show!!

I love the symbolism with the petals being shaped like hearts in the end. And each of them slowly falling down each time Blitz didn’t doing something that wasn’t nurturing to him. Texted the latest, petal fell down. The text it’s self, petal fell down. Bliz not replying to him, petal fell down Stolas putting his phone down, a petal fell down. This would more likely mean that stolas has given up, or falling out of love. And I can’t help but feel bad for stolas. I mean i understand that It’s difficult to show emotion with stolas, and it’s difficult for him to get close. But the way, Blitz has treated him just seems horrible. Like last season(I think) he just brought Stolas to stalk his coworkers, and to use his titles for him to get into the establishment. @@samuraitadpole5459 in every show I watch in one episode people learn a lesson move on and forget but In hellouva boss everyone’s actions have long lasting affects that they have to deal with and this is present in every episode hellouva boss has such good and amazing writers voice actors animators and directors with talent and passion I haven’t seen in a while and all they need is more of a budget but even for the small budget they have there still making better content and episodes than other shows hellouva boss is better than 80% of the stuff that’s on Hulu or Netflix so when I watch an episode and finish I don’t want to hurry the writers and animators because when there in a rush it makes something sloppy and unpolished so I don’t rush creators because If you give them time you can watch there work slowly grow from hazbin hotels 45 minutes in 4 years all the way to 3 or 4 hellouva a boss episodes in 5 months for an hour of work but it’s still going to be good work because this is the first animated show I’ve seen that put quality over quantity

I've heard people complaining about the storyline of Loona getting a shot and the cuts to it during the fight make the episode weaker, but to be honest I think that it is what makes that line have as much of a kick as it does. If we just saw Blitz and Loona go into the hospital and only cut back to them as Stolas is being rushed in we wouldn't feel the weariness that Blitz has by the time the van pulls up. We've all had days that have been demanding of us, or at least we think that it has been. With Blitz's selfishness (something that we know he's aware of thanks to the halucination in Truth Seekers), he probably was at that point thinking he had it the roughest of all of I.M.P. that day. Millie and Moxxie are scuffed up, but it's not as bad as it was the last time they faced Striker (Millie had a bone sticking through skin). Clearly they didn't have any trouble with Striker, so of course Stolas would be fine. And then he gets a flash of tail feathers and Millie, who I get the feeling is honest with Stolas and wouldn't try to spin things in a positive way tells Blitz that not only is Stolas injured, it's bad. And Blitz had assumed that things would have been ok. That weight is on him, he can't undo what happened. He knows Stolas is very badly injured, and he had thought that he had it rough today. "He can get hurt?" is shock, disbelief, and guilt. It's this enormous thing that Blitz has just been thrown at, and the impact of those words would have been softened for the audience if not for the humor before it.

I've been on both sides of this kind of convo and neither are pleasant to be in. being the stolas sucks because you feel like you're forcing yourself onto someone who's clearly disinterested. being the blitz sucks because you feel like you're giving the cold shoulder to someone who deserves better treatment from you. neither side can change it either, because you cannot force yourself to be more/less engaged when talking to someone, and pretending can only go so far. sad
