I don't think this tactic is toxic (quite arbitrary concept anyway). It' just the logical answer to very heavy early pressure. If you get idled that much, you can't push back eye-to-eye. A lot of pros would just try tu counterrush, loose a fight and surrender. This is just so much more consequent. Well played, nerves of steel

Age 4 petard does 4500 damage and 1 pop. So by adding say 5-10 petards in age 4 would have completely destroyed the outposts and opened up the whole base. I am not sure why he did not think of this the whole game!

Well played by MashedPotato72. I was never a fan of games ending in age 2/early age 3, that being said, I'm happy MashedPotato72 won :b. It's incredible how people that are so good at early game can be not so good in the late game. The counter to his turtling is out macro and busting his weak flanks with nice seige damage (oprichnik) instead of brute forcing the middle on age 2/3 eco. Propofol did macro, but did it slowly. He had the entire map, but only really pressured the front which was the most fortified. A nice attack from the flanks would have been the game winner. (yes Propofol had more vils the whole game, but used up resources on units to scratch the walls instead of investing it in eco)

@@NihilisticAltruist Indeed, the deck was for early game and this strat isn't expected normally. Surprise was definitely a factor. I'm sure most ladder players would have performed the same. the ladder is about winning in age 2/3, and if they don't, they just roll over and die :b.

I played against some guys 2v2 that did similar thing - barely any army, a lot of blocks of walls and outposts. We managed to get through some blocks, but kept getting pushed. We managed to win by Trade Monopoly. I wonder, couldn't Prop try to do the same thing? Or it's not allowed on this map?

Defensive play is unbalanced when stacked with insane cards that give you free upgrades for walls and outposts, technologies that make your outpost wagons cheaper are unbalced aswell.

Our Russian player could have done better if his comps contained more musk and maybe some halbs for siege. If he sent the advanced arsenal card he already had a great eco late game to build grenadiers with the incendiary grenade card.

If he would’ve built more oprichniks since the beginning of AgeIII this would’ve never happened lol. There was nothing USA could do against 20 oprichniks flanking the base while falconets pushed with the main force on the front. The dude literally just suicided his oprichniks at the end in batches of 5 all spread out. Bottom right hand side of the base was basically exposed, only 1 layer of walls with 0 outposts. I’ve seen Aussie getting hit by 30 of these pushing into a corner of his base destroying his factories and shit. Nothing USA could’ve done if that happened. Lmao, I stress out for the entirety of this video from age3 on
