Remember, Aaron Paul never had acting lessons. This man is incredibly talented
@somedorkydude648311 ай бұрын
To clarify for those who dont know: this is true. Arron did not take acting lessons. Arron did learn to act with small plays and working his way up from small roles but never striking big he was just a background actor or a temporary charater his most infomous appearance on tv was winning some game show and some people and even that appearance you might not know he was jesse because arron pauls last name was actually Sturtevant. I say was because paul is arrons last name as of a month after bcs ended. Arron went by his middle name paul and later struck a some what special role of a charater named jesse pinkman he was just there to be walts ticket to the crime world andlater killed off but it became apparent that arron had a lot of tallent. Then the actors strike and they realized since they missed the opportunity to kill off pinkman in season 1 instead of game endjng jesse jn season 2 they decided jesse needed to stay. Then arron almost died on set. Not joking. Its funny brba most of the charaters you wouldnt have realized how different the original plan was for them. Hank wasnt meant to be a big charater just a foil for walts masculinity until they realized dean had potential. Gus was just some guy to solve walts problems in s2. Walt would out grow saul. Mike was created because bob wasnt on set. A lot of the charaters were actors who had exxeptional potential which at first didnt stand out but did. Bcs had a bit more established actors while brba had actors who had more potential than bince initially thought. Arron did learn to act just not traditionally. Thats not to say its not impressive but he worked his way up from school plays to landing a opportunity of a life time.learning from eacg opportunity and taking advice. My message isnt that its not impressive its that anybody can be a great actor and can come frkm any background. Fun fact bob odenkirk never expected to be more than just a actor you regknize but never can think of where youvr seen him. He even thought am i really worth being the main charater bcs is to good for me. He creduts brba saving him from bankruptcy

@somedorkydude64839 ай бұрын
@@Invalid_Username404 im not going to pretend being an actor is the same as being a doctor but its not a skill everyone can do the thing is arron didnt take acting school but he learned to act by working his way up gradually going from school plays to small roles infact jesse was intended to die in season one but the guy despite his small resume clearly knew what he was doing so they kept him around because the guy was a great actor. The guy didnt just wake up and just got a major role. The thing to keep in mind was breaking bad wasnt succesful till season 4 Acting is a genuine skill not everyone can do. Now anybody can learn to be an actor. The thing is any skill can be learned but only a few master given time and effort. The guy learned from experience in the feild not in school. Now to be clear learning tk be an actor isnt as dificult as being a doctor. But my point is arron is a product of talent through experience his acting carreer was going from plays to comercials to minor roles in small shows to getting a small role in breaking bad then when jesse became the second lead and eventually breaking bad took off. Like i hate to sound like a stan but you shoudlnt writr off tallent like that.

After finding out Walt really poisoned Brock, having his plan to turn Walt in backfire spectacularly, resulting in Hank and Steve dying, himself being tortured and enslaved for 6 months, and losing another person he loved it sure took Jesse a lot of restraint not to blast Walt's face to pieces when no one would've stopped him. Well, Walt still kinda got what was coming his way - though he never went to jail, he had to wait until his cancer progressed to the point of no hope in a remote hut akin to a cell, his son rejected him and his legacy became that of a monstrous criminal. At least Jesse was able to put the whole mess behind him and start over.
@Rog4722Ай бұрын
You have it all wrong. Jesse was the bad guy. It was Walt who showed not only mere restraint, but almost masochistically sacrificial tolerance towards the weepy, crybaby, constantly f'ing-everything-up druggie Jesse. The only reason Walt poisoned Brock was to get Jesse to turn against Gus. The only reason Walt needed Jesse to turn against Gus was because Gus was grooming Jesse to take over the lab so that Gus could then kill Walt. One reason Gus wanted to kill Walt was because Walt had not only vouched for, but insisted on bringing in, Jesse. Jesse was a non-stop problem. He couldn't let bygones be bygones or stay sober for more than several minutes. Jesse shook hands with his old enemy in Gus's presence and agreed to a truce, but what did Jesse do? He went and tried to kill that person he had just shaken hands with. Walt saved Jesse's pathetic, worthless, druggy life by crashing his car into the guy Jesse was about to try to kill. That is why Gus finally decided to kill Walt, but first he had to have someone take over the lab. He stroked Jesse's ego, and the stupid, narcissistic Jesse fell for it, even though Walt spelled out for him exactly what was happening. What did Jesse do in response to the truth? React with anger and self-righteousness. The only way Walt could get Jesse to snap out of it was to poison Brock. Walt was an expert chemist and knew just how much poison to give to not kill Brock. This finally brought Jesse back to Walt's side. But if it hadn't been for Jesse, Walt would have gotten along with Gus perfectly fine and wouldn't have even had all that drama. Jesse was the constant thorn in Walt's side, a self-righteous, non-stop drug-using crybaby, narcissistic hypocrite. It never ceases to amaze me that anyone could see Jesse as anything other than the spoiled brat he was and that Walt was not really the bad guy, but actually Jesse.
@arcanea9598Ай бұрын
wtf ? what's with all the Jesse sympathizers. Everything went wrong because Walt saved his ungrateful a** from Gus.

Also, to add to the fire, Jesse only knew of the dealers that killed Combo by hooking up with someone from the narcotics anonymous group which he was specifically in to sell former addicts meth - meth that he stole from his million-plus-dollar all-expenses-covered secure job for a drug kingpin because he thought he should be earning more. A job he got because he threatened to out Walter if he ever needed to get off charges unless Walt got him work in the lab. Oh, and Jesse technically got Combo killed to start with by not explaining to Walt - the cook, with no street experience - the danger of going outside your territory as a dealer, when he was supposed to be the one calling the business shots. Jesse is the biggest factor to why everything went tits up and can arguably be said to be the inciting incident that led to the deaths of Combo, Jane, Andrea, Gale, Mike, Mike's guys in prison, Hank, and Gomez. And the desert kid, since they'd never have needed to rob the train.

Jesse drove to Walt's house with a white car, and we saw Walt's car, which is black, drive onto the scene ready to confront Jesse. It took Hank, who arrived in a grey car, to prevent the situation from escalating, Black vs White stopped by Grey, a middle ground. I like how they played with colors in this scene.

I mean that’s a pretty shallow reading of the series, let alone it’s biggest lesson. Case and point, Walt finding out that one of Mike’s men was cooperating with the DEA caused him not only to order all of their deaths, which ruined his partnership with Mike and lead directly to Mike’s death, which in turn left Walter with only Jack’s gang, who kidnapped Jesse and left Walt to die at the nearest convenience. And if you want to take Better Call Saul into account, Kim and Jimmy coming clean are framed as the only way that both of them are able to clear their conscience. Morality is grey

@CFlandre Жыл бұрын
Jesse's anger was about his relationship with Walter, and the subsequent betrayal of the trust that (at the very least) Walter wasn't someone like Gustav Fring -- who didn't think twice about using children to his own ends. Remember, Walter had lied to him that he had nothing to do with Brock being poisoned in order to get Jesse on his side in order to save his own life during his struggle with Gustav Fring. It didn't really have much to do with Brock himself; after all, Brock was fine.
@DeBarge123 Жыл бұрын
@@CFlandre that’s a cop-out on Jesse’s behalf. He’s in the drug game (even before Walt) and he knows first hand the effects of his product on people’s lives and he continued on anyways at his convenience. He’s going to take the high ground now because he see’s Walt dishonest? His line of work is already dishonest and illegal. Every major setback on this show has been in some form the result of his negligence and fake morality. He chimes in on the kid drug dealer (Andrea’s brother) to Gus, gets kid killed. He tries to confront the two dealers who orchestrated Combo’s assassination, that results in Walt having to save him from assured death (because Jesse really ain’t about that life) and in turn fucks up Walt’s relationship with Gus. No matter the justification, he is a god damn proven jinx on this show. You tell me if he would’ve been better of the first time he was going to flee or the 2nd having to escape in El Camino. Count the money lost and the lives he ruined between then and you will see he is a two parent upper-middle class suburban privileged fuckup who thinks too highly of himself but is equally as morally bankrupt than the other criminals he scoffs at.
@CFlandre Жыл бұрын
@@DeBarge123 @DeBarge123 I don't disagree with you, I was particularly disgusted with his behavior when he was trying to sell meth to people who were trying to get off of drugs and improve their lives. Jesse is not a moral or good person. He's very loyal and incredibly trusting (one might say "naive") to a fault, however, and for whatever reason draws an arbitrary line at the use of kids. Throughout the story, from his little brother, to the two druggies' small kid, to the kid who killed Combo, and finally to Brock, he's incredibly mindful about their welfare (possibly stemming from his own childhood, and history with his overbearing parents). A reminder that he literally took the blame for his younger brother having weed, which ultimately resulted in his parents effectively disowning him. It's not about some moral high ground that he's taking that he gets angry, he's not trying to prove a point by getting angry, it goes deeper than that. He's angry because his trust has been betrayed by someone he thought was extremely close to him crossing that hot-button issue for him, one that Walt promised Jesse he didn't cross.

Jesse chose to be a drug dealer. In fact, during one episode he spent with the little boy, where the mom dropped the ATM on the dad, Jesse saw first hand how the product that he made and distributed ruined people's lives and in many cases, led directly to their deaths. The babies and little children of these addicts were also affected, as Jesse witnessed first had. Jesse was responsible for Jane's death and indirectly responsible for all people who lost their lives in that plane crash. Jesse was responsible for that boy getting shot when they robbed the train, he was responsible for the men that got killed in prison, he was responsible for Andrea's death and her son growing up without parents. He was responsible for murdering Gale. Everything that Walter was involved in, Jesse was also responsible for because he was part of that organization. Yet he has the audacity to say Walt can't keep getting away with it? Jesse was just as bad. Yes, Jesse went to the DEA, but if he knew he would get life in prison with no possibility of parole, would he still have gone to the DEA? The only reason he didn't flee was because he found out Walt had poisoned Andreas son, and he became all indignant. The character Jesse was a pivotal one in the show. I just personally didn't like him nor did I sympathize with him in any way. Because of him and what he chose to do, untold damage was inflicted on thousands of people.

Truth is, of Jessy being a better partner, walter wouldn’t have had to commit as many atrocities as he did, most of the bad things Walter did during the show was the consequences of cleaning up a mess Jessy did at some point. Perhaps Walter wouldn’t have become so “bad” but of course, of being push and force to make the same choices, he would probably do exactly that.
