Good to have Quickley come back. But what is the real plan? Are we tanking or trying to finish in the middle of the pack, not making the playoffs? With just that one win, we've gone from 3rd from last to 5th from the bottom. At 3rd our chances of the 1st pick was 14%. Our chances are dwindling by moving up to 5th and also a significance if not finish in the bottom 5. Not sure that "winning" is the smart move this year which is a write-off in terms of making playoffs. Let's just run the games with limited time for our stars and lots of development time for our bench and up and commers.

Having IQ back takes away ball-handling pressure duties from Scottie.
@mikeyjames19 күн бұрын
Because’s Scottie is not a point guard. I don’t know if Darko understands this. Ability to handle the ball at times and make a few passes doesn’t make you a point guard. The obsession with a point forward needs to end for thd Raptors to be successful. Scottie Barnes is not a point guard!!!! Do you see Tatum playing point guard just because he can handle the ball at times and make passes ? 🤷♂️
@adrianau667919 күн бұрын
When fully healthy, Scottie has always been a point forward. Quickley has always been the point guard. The two will probably share ball-handling duties.

@@mikeyjames Why would we throw away good reps for any of our players this season? Yesterday yall said IQ wasn't a reeal PG.. now 1 game happens and he the only ball handler we have lol. Scottie also been hurt for a month. Before that he was playing very good PG for a 10 game stretch. Its 5 v 5 basketball, he will get plenty of ball handling duties from now until he retires.. stop with the overreacting. Didnt hear anyone ovverreacting when he had like 6.5 BPM on 3.5 turnovers and like 27% useage (those are ridiculous stats by the way). Didnt hear anyone overreacting then. Now 1 game from IQ and he the point god (I beem saying his playmaking is better than given credit for too). But this year hes not there yet. That being said. Im not ready to say IQ is that either but he def adds to opening up the court for the rest of the players. Dick will benefit tremendously with IQ on the floor
@jaspd1719 күн бұрын
I’m probably one of the biggest Scottie fans out there but I completely agree with u. He fails to push the pace and with this young, energetic team, we thrive off of pushing the pace. Scottie is one of the best passers in the league but as the primary ball handler his strengths get taken away. He even said in the post game interview that he was focusing more on the playmaking when he was the PG, but now playing off ball he can be more aggressive and get downhill which is what he’s best at. Help comes and Scottie makes the right read almost every time. His excellent playmaking ability comes from him either driving hard to the basket or getting in the post. He couldn’t rly do those things as often when he was the PG
@YakDPOY19 күн бұрын
@@kobebeef6392 Why even include Scottie in that statement? He 100% is, IQ has one game and he the GOAT? Yesterday everyone said he sucked and wasn't a PG lol. They both will be our ball handlers, same as they were always supposed to be. Scottie been jacking up 3s, by design.. not as optimal play for winning games. Plus he was playing PG with no one to pass it to, IQ had a hot and determined Scottie Barnes who grabbed everything IQ threw up and put it in the basket lol. Heres how a rational human views it. "Was great to finally see the team somewhat healthy, still more to go. Glad IQ had a great game, he and Scottie had a great duo tonight (its only 1 game remember?) and everyone fed off that tonight. Hope it continues, since its only one game leta not decide every players entire future based off just 48 minutes.. Like I said, can't say anything nice wirhout complaining about the same guy yall complain about yesterday and the day before. Scottie B was by far best playerr yesterday and today. Coach needs to work on this so he can get his name out of criticism.

@@YakDPOY what you say is partially true - and in my defence I did say a “little concerned”. My feelings are - this area is worsening over the course of the season vs getting better particularly in the stretch of games leading up to this .
