Y'all don't realise, but Wakatsuki was THE most plot hyped guy in early Ashura and he did deliver in his actions as well. He had the most impressive resume, where both the quality and quantity of his past fights were unrivalled by anyone else honestly. Many sleep on his 5 almost mythical, God-like martial arts figures he had decimated in the past. The author wrote and illustrated him so, that he looked like THE main character. Unknowingly badass but he's quite humble, strong AF, in fact arguably unrivalled in that department in the og KAT. Has great talent for fighting, and shockingly deep insight and instincts for combat, but still is kinda nerdy and goofy in personality. Is the most tankiest, defensive character in the verse while also simultaneously having the highest baseline destructive capacity in attacks. On paper, if someone lists all his stats and gifts, he'd seem like the ultimate fighter put together but the dynamic nature of martial arts in Kengan mean that strength is a great advantage but it's not a guarantee of victory. And that's what makes us all fans of the series. He was, still is, and always will be my favourite character from Sandrovich's universe.

To me it's crazier that Waka defeated all these legends in the past but when he faced Kanoh, he still considered their fight boring. Which means that current Ohma, Raian, Gaolang, Kanoh, Lolong and Jurota are already beyond legendary and they are still not the strongest ones.

Inhumanly powerful individuals with their natural physical stats being the peak of the verse, easily the most tankiest and also arguably the physically strongest beings in their respective verses, it's observable to us reader's that both have great insight and instincts for battle deep within, but are still relatively far too unskilled compared to the Top Tiers of their respective verses. But everyone also fears that if their martial arts potential is fully realised, even the top tiers will push up daisies in no time, cuz then the trope of 'Boxing Lessons for Superman' will come true. And both are lovable, clumsy goofballs with some eccentric tendencies who are a real good company to chill and hang out with anyone. As soon as their fights are over, the almost palpable, unrivalled animalistic fighting aura and pressure they exude is nowhere to be found. And both have defeated the most powerful contemporaries of their respective times, contemporaries who are acknowledged to mythical status in modern times but these two regularly competed and overcame each and every one of them relatively easily. Both of em are nothing short of living legends, considered treasures of humanity but more importantly as mainstays of their respective underground fighting community. And am I saying it again that both of em are my favourite characters from their respective series. ?

Both are the most physically gifted individuals from their respective stories, who are regarded to have achieved the most with the least martial arts training. Their genetic makeup gives them an already unreachable and undeniable advantage in the realm of combat. But that doesn't mean they are infallible or invincible. Far from it actually, cuz before their introduction in the series, they were touted as nigh-unbeatable but in the current story they have losses almost equalling their victories. 2). Both are also arguably the physically strongest as well as the most durable and tankiest fighters in their respective stories. Their physiological and anatomical composition is so dense that strikes from all but the absolute strongest fighters barely phase them, whether it's by lethal techniques or even weapons. Just their passive defense is greater than what all the other best fighters could ever muster with all their strengths. And even lethal shots at their weakest, most vulnerable points barely do them any lasting damage. 3). Both have defeated contemporaries from their pasts without much implied difficulty, with those same contemporaries being held up to mythical and legendary status or standards of pure strength in the current timeline of the story. 4). When not fighting, the peerless pressure and animalistic battle aura they would exude is totally gone and what we see are really chill and cool dudes who are easy to hang out with. They can make friends with anyone pretty fast. They are big and almost naive hearted goofballs, with clumsy tendencies who'd never hurt a fly or harbor any malice towards anything. 5). Both have an undeniably great sense and inherent instinct for all things combat and martial arts but their current skill level is still relatively very miniscule compared to the top tiers of their verse. Hence they rely more on their physicals than their techniques. But it's also agreed in the story and amongst their fandoms that if they did master martial arts to a relative level to other top class fighters, it's curtains for everyone and anyone in the matter of physical bouts. Cuz that'll be the best example of the trope 'Boxing Lessons for Superman' come true. 6). And both also happen to be my favourite characters from their respective stories too.

In Omega as new characters are brought into the story and as Ohma improves a few other characters take the top spot, but no one else could have had a draw with Fei. He’s still a top level fighter. people be looking down on waka too much, dude ate all ohmas attacks like it was nothing and yes of course he got defeated by only 1 technique. it was his own attack and ohma knew if he still used other techniques he will lose even the advance does absolutely nothing to him. pretty much redirecting ones attack towards their face with a kick triples the damage which was an unpredictable result made by ohma. waka and lolong even had similarities with each other when fighting against ohma. Lolong overcame everything from ohma even the kure techniques at the end result nothing has resulted on bringing him down, blitzing speed with advance was the only way to win and ohma did it twice. first punch to lolongs face actually survived the knockout and second literally damaged him until his defeat from flashing steel... Same goes to waka encountering demons bane twice. Since their are still 2 nikos survived it would be a big surprised if waka knows the other niko instead of the tiger niko

What's really waka's biggest weakness it's his inability to handle soft style techniques like the niko style, silat and aikido. Also he doesn't do well with unpredictable techniques like the formless. Thus it makes sense why he lost to hatsumi, kanoh and ohma. He had really hard time countering those and also his ankle is not at 100% blast core takes it's toll on his ankle the more he uses it, and he can only take that much damage. So if he worked around his ankle and somehow managed to bulletproof it like gaolang did with his fists, and learned defending against soft style then he definitely is a top tier
