That tin of crayons, you should have looked at the colors. I was just reading that Torch Red and Dandelion Crayola crayons are sought after. I guess there are a few colors from I think 96-97 that they only made that year. Plus people use lots of crayons to use for wax dying when making candles & such. I was hoping you would have picked it up. It was a cool tin. But Irf did real good. 😃

The folding lap tray is great always good to have one.if you get sick. For less than $2 I would have bought it. Can always place a pretty tea towel on before you place the dishes. I use to have several, as well as the TV trays with longer legs. Guess it is a 50- 60 thing. They came in handy for company and children, as well as for crafts or doing nails. Also nice for medicine trays for elderly people. I think your husband wanted it for himself. Can always put stickers on the plain tray or just paint a design. i still would have bought it just to have on hand it was. Small enough to easily store. I can't believe he had to get permission to buy that lap tray. Men don't want pretty as much as practical.

😆 He didn’t want it for himself, I asked him that specifically. He was looking at it for resale and I was pointing out that the ones sold on eBay are decorative. we have those conversations on camera so others can see the value of things like that. He never needs “permission” to buy anything. 🤣 We also have TV trays. They are great for company.

To the right of the brown pot that I looked at were some tie-backs that were new in the package and I think a wooden frame was under them but I’m not sure. The big item was a security box. You put it outside your home and delivery packages can be locked inside. This one has a camera like a Ring doorbell. Apparently when someone delivers a package you can talk to them and open the box remotely for them. 😊

It was a delivery security box. The kind you put on your front porch that delivery people can access with a code but it stays locked so no one can steal your packages.

I looked up the address given on the bottom of the "Woodchip" wooden thing using Google street view. It's right next to a lake. It's a house now but maybe there was a building there before the house, which looks newer? I mean, it's been 46 years. I'm wondering if it might have been a barbershop or bar or something there. Since it has an address, a phone number, and "attn: H. Pinion". That looks like a "please return if you find this" kind of thing. Note the phone number is 216, not 330, because that was before there were so many phone numbers in the NE Ohio area that all the area around Cleveland and Akron was 216, not just part of Cuyahoga County. (My childhood number in Kent was 216 and didn't change to 330 until I was grown and out of the house in the 1990s). My guess is it held a small mirror. It looks like a miniature dresser harp. So if it was a barbershop or something, or a salon, or such, maybe it held a mirror?

How are getting Goodwill coupons?

It’s not everywhere, but in my county (Summit Co, Ohio) we have a loyalty program. We get a point for every dollar we spend (plus extra points for using our own bags, and double points on the last Saturday of the month) and when we have 100 points, a 35% off coupon is generated on the bottom of the receipt. I buy enough that I usually have at least 1 coupon to use. It’s an amazing incentive that I wish other Goodwills would use! Our county’s Goodwills are highly profitable. One extra note, you cannot use the coupons in the Outlet (Bins) where everything is sold by weight, and I think that is very fair. :)

@ I agree that they should all do the same. I recently found out that Goodwill stores are actually franchises just like McDonalds’s are. That surprised me!

According to Google, Goodwill is a 501c3 nonprofit with a national brand and 160 independent regions/districts in the US and Canada. It’s not a franchise. :)

In fact I just found info on Google that the cost of opening a Goodwill franchise can be up to $13k approximately not including other fees. I was kinda flabbergasted upon learning all of this myself but yeah, they are doing it

That’s probably the number one reason why I don’t have fish - or anything in a tank or cage. Some of those glass fish with the floaters and a whole under sea scene would be cool though. :)
