I enjoyed the change in subject today. Going through the storage unit bins is fun. As an Air Force Veteran and the daughter of an Army veteran it breaks my heart to see other veterans being taken advantage of. Glad you are going to ensure his items go to good homes.

That little machine with wires, that Jeremy said"was sticky" is a tens unit. The sticky is from the tens unit patches.You can use rubbing alcohol on cotton ball to get the sticky off. These machines and patches work wonders on sore back muscles.

That Black balloon looking thing could possibly be used to help prevent Bed Sores...IDK. The wedges are used to hold patient on his side, raise his knees, & any other body part that needs to be propped up. That Vet must have been in very bad shape 😢. May God be holding him in His arms. That really ripped at my heart when my husband was in the VA hospital dealing with his cancer. I would see all the other veterans dealing with cancer and, of course, other problems ..of course a smile to them would go along way, especially if they were there without a loved one beside them, giving support ..God bless our veterans 🙏

Yup, George is correct. Bed wedges. Most people put them between the box spring and mattress. Can be used on the bed too with a pillow behind. Good for people who snore😁😉!

That yellow squeezes thing you found is to put into a patients hand to keep them from putting their hands in a tight fist where their nails will dig into their hands. We used them for patients in the nursing home I worked in. Being a Veteran, the VA probably paid for all his medical items. And the stuff the pay forcis hi end products

It was the Challenger that blew up with the teachers on it. I watched it happen with my own eyes. We were standing, outside of our elementary school in Cocoa Beach, FL. I will never forget! I will also never forget that Y it made. As people started to realize this was not a normal launch. 🚀

The blow up pad in the tote with the leg wrap things is used in a wheelchair and can be adjusted with air. Used ones run about $100 or more. I used to work with a person in a wheelchair that used them.

The things George said are for the patients knee to toe inflation that help with massaging the lower parts to get swelling below the knees. To reducing swrlling in the lower legs. Used by or for wheel chair bound &/ orbed ridden. There should be the hoses & air either pump or wrap compressure inflaters. The mind games. They also use them in nursing homes & hospitals to reduce risk of blood clots in surgery patients. I got sent home with one after spine surgery. Those ear plugs are used 8n the ears to keep water out of your ears. I have tubes in both my ear drums & if I get water in my eardrums I get very dizzy & can't walk a straight line.

That weird blue rectangular item is a gel positioner to relieve the body pressure point from developing bed sores. That's what those wedges are too. Positioners. The Hoyer lift would be used to get him out of bed to a chair or vice versa. Keeps the caretaker from getting back issues from lifting patients. Been in healthcare purchasing for nearly 30 years and none of those medical items are cheap. The lift alone can be thousands of dollars.

The balloon cushion is a ROHO CUSHION used for Rehab for someone that sits/lays down longer than 4-6 hrs to help the prevention of skin breakdown.

It was Challenger that blew up, 38 years ago this week. I think it was Discovery that blew up over Texas. It would seem that this guy was significantly disabled. I hate to hear when our vets are maimed in war. He was obviously proud of his service, nonetheless. Honor a vet this week.

After seeing the first video my heart was broken knowing what this veteran went through. So I thought I’d share a little of my husbands story. My husband had brain surgery 11 days after we got married, they didn’t think it was cancer. They sent it off (the tumor) to the lab at fsu turned out it was stage 2 glioma. He had to do radiation for 6 weeks and 18 months worth of chemotherapy. He has been off of it for 5 or 6 months. Has had to do mri’s every three months with contrast dye. Now it’s every six months as of his last one which was a week and a half ago. I thank God for him helping my husband through that tough time.

Yes wound care is about keeping pressure off the wound. Bottom sores are common. Abdominal issues a stoma has bag that sticks to your skin. Yes George that is a heatable neck whatever.

All of those medical supplies are from the VA. The wedges are for physical therapy, and the green things that you put on your knee form into a boot to keep your heel from getting sores on them. My husband had those for his feet. He was a Vietnam veteran and had a ton of medical equipment here too. And yes, it's worth a ton of money.

Your nasal spray is Narcan. He was probably on some heavy duty medication for pain and he had that in case he accidentally overdosed. The few times I’ve been in the hospital and had pain meds there was a syringe of Narcan taped inside the cupboard door just in case.
