When I was in high school back in like 1997 there was an upper classman who approached me and said his dad needed to get in touch with my mom. I did not live with her at that point, but advised how to get in touch with her and found out later that she had put everything of hers in a storage building and defaulted. When it opened up for the preview at the auction, he happened to see my picture from the baseball team on the top of a stack and recognized me so he purchased the unit. Because of him my mother was able to get all of our old pictures back. When she passed, those came back to me. I think about that every time I see storage auctions I think about that. I never was able to tell him thanks because I did not find out why he contacted her until after I'd graduated. It makes me smile to see you do something like this.

The seaman papers are priceless. A treasury trove of history. My father -in law was in the merchant marine in ww2 Pacific theatre, perhaps Kenny's dad or granddad granddad was stationed in Asia at one time. It is awesome that you restorage the love. Welcome Kay. Your laugh is terrific.

We ran a storage facility for 12 years and we always asked the buyer's to bring back pics and legal docs.... some would be great about it... others refused and threw it all inthe trash. Made me so sad. Bless you ❤

Ok they are not Dutch boots. They are wooden shoes. I live in Holland MI. They are wooden shoes. They were used in the Netherlands for gardening or outdoor chores. The land was lower than the sea. So the wooden shoes would keep their feet dry and prevent them from ruining their good shoes for church.
