Not to take away from Sai's discovery here, but almost every Hawaiian person can find a connection to an ancient and illustrious chief. Not necessarily Mookuauhau Alii (which is a specific list), but older chiefs like Keawe, Piilani, Manokalanipo, Kakuhihewa, etc. This is where I think Sai truly shines, in his historic knowledge, not really his diplomatic/political career. He brings up Kuwait, which had a coalition of western forces intervene. Hawaii doesn't have that. There is no coalition jumping to our aid, like Kuwait had in the Persian Gulf War.

Sai's story here is wonderful, and I encourage everyone to do their genealogy. What's even better is that he doesn't let this knowledge go to his head. He doesn't start declaring himself Prince-this or King-that.
