His first wedding to emcee was Monica Kagoni's at a 1000 bob only! He came from an extremely humble background that in his childhood, he would wear his father's oversize trousers and tie them with a sisal rope!
Today, If you visit Murang'a, in need of an emcee, everyone will direct you to Francis Ngugi Karanja. He is well known for his witty expressions. He is a darling of the local leaders to a point of being entrusted with emceeing Hon Irungu Kangata's wedding in which the president was in attendance!
