I’ve been fishing since I was 4, I’ll be 25 this month. The other day at my local park I met a guy 30 years old never fished before. He sat there for 4 hours with me learning how to fish. That was a great day. When he felt that first bite on a 3 inch bluegill he about lost it. Dude was hooked after that first bite lol. Good luck to you and enjoy the outdoors!

Took a friend to Utah Lake once… he had never fished in his life. We caught no joke 26 bass and he caught a giant flathead. It was absolutely pouring rain during the heat of it. It was like watching a little kid on Christmas morning. Great times

If you troll casting rods with line counters it’s way easier to keep Track of where your gear is at. I got two rods for trolling trout and Kokanee and four trolling rods for salmon and steelhead, 2 plug rods and 360 flasher rods.

To poorly answer a question that wasn't directed at me ( I fish jig heads with chartreuse soft plastics and top waters with a walk the dog patterns for red fish and speckled trout) honestly covering ground makes a huge difference when fishing with lures as opposed to holding a spot and waiting... but I got my friend his first red on a 1/16th oz jig head in shallow with a slow retrieve with an occasional slack drop to let the bait sink then a lil yank to get it back to the top of the water column.
