The fish does not suffer hahahaha. Being hook with a giant hook (compare to its size), then pull up where it cant breathe. Thats not suffer? How ever you do it, it does still suffer, depends how long only.

The best places to fish are always off limits/illegal. Sucks. There’s worse things polluting the water then anything I’m doin. Don’t even want fish. I would pay for a season pass or something to be able to fish it. Rather than going i. Commando on mountain bikes and wearing camouflage. If I get to fish 30 times a summer and get caught once. That’s 6$ a fishing trip. But what do I know

Its not ike jime unless you send a wire up and down the spinal column to destroy the nervous system. The process of ike jime is not only meant to be an ethical kill, but also prevent the breakdown of its meat from the signals sent through the nervous system after death. What you did was just the first step of the whole process.

I used to fish a lot with my uncle back when I was in elementary school. I started to get back into it recently with my daughter and I’m starting to remember all the stuff I forgot about for so long. I totally remember using water bobbers now!

On my first bfs setup I was using a tiny minnow crankbait and probably caught every dink in that pond for the beginner I would recxoemnd an ultralight spinning setup to avoid backlash though takes awhile to learn to dial the breaks and stuff

It’s nice to see you not gatekeeping the canal there’s a lot of people who like keeping it like it was when that’s not feasible and this is the best for all the new anglers learning proper catch and release
