New to this channel. @Jonn Stewart that's mistakenly assuming (as most do) that Russell ALWAYS had the better team. In the early 60's, it was true. However, by the mid 60's that was no longer true. The '68 Celtics had no business beating the '68 Sixers, especially being down 3-1. What happened? Celtics came back and won the last 3 games, Wilt blamed all his teammates and got traded to the Lakers that summer. The same exact thing happened the next year in the '69 Finals vs, yep! Wilt and the Lakers. Once again, that Celtics team had no business beating the '69 Lakers, especially being down 3-1. The Celtics win the last 3 games, and Russell retires as the GOAT. You can do an "era tax" if you choose, but it's hard for me to hold it against players just because they were born in a different time.

@Jonathan Sykes now Jonathan You're wrong I'm going to explain to you why kobe was the best player of his era despite not having multiple finals and league mvp's let me break it down now I don't know if you knew this my man did take his Team to the finals in Orlando magic with another dynamic guard name penny hardaway and he got swept back to back times but with kobe bryant eventhough Shaq won the accolades as far as finals mvp's scoring titles you can't devalue kobe they needed each other they were series in the playoffs that kobe outplayed shaq and when shaq fouled out he did close some games trust me I they were and still are the best duo of the modern era nobody does things alone it's a team sport now what cemented kobe is him winning that 08-09 championship against Orlando magic without shaq truly cemented his legacy now of course your going to say he had pau gasol but pau gasol never in any playoffs series gasol was never the best power foward kobe was the player at that time without question put it like this give me shaq and kobe with adequate players that can shoot defend and have some athletic ability they can't beat some of the best teams in nba history no cap

Bruh don’t know what he talking about 😂… Kobe has more accolades than Magic and Kareem isn’t close to MJ…. 1)MJ has more total accolades MJ-72/Kareem-68 2)Most of Kareem’s chips came with him being the 2nd or 3rd option…. NO ONE EVA TALKS ABOUT THIS 3)Kareem received most of his MVP’s when the best individual basketball talents were playing in an entirely different league ( Dr. J, George Gervin, Artis Gilmore, Moses Malone, David Thompson, Rick Barry, etc.) It is a fact that the NBA during Kareem’s prime was the most watered down as it has ever been and ever will be. 4)Kareem miss the playoffs ENTIRELY 2 years in the middle of his prime (75’ and 76’) playing alongside another HOF teammate/ All Star (Dandridge avg 20ppg 7rpg and 3apg, and Gail Goodrich avg 20ppg 3rpg and 6apg) 5)Despite missing the playoffs 2 years in a row the NBA still awarded Kareem MVP in 76’ (one of the most questionable MVP’s given in NBA history) 6)In Kareem’s 10 Finals appearance there was only maybe 2 series where he was the undispute best player…. 2 out of 10. The other 8 series he was sometimes the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or even 6th best player in the Finals considering both teams… Kareem’s def a all time great but no even close to MJ whose the greatest of all time.

@@MarzTalksSports Magic is better than Bird on nearly every advanced stat. More titles. Same number of MVPs. More finals MVPs. Beat Bird 2 times compared to Bird 1. You can't bring longevity into it when Magic played 9 more games than Bird.

Whenever it comes to Russ hate I already know guys say CP3 is the smart player and Russ the athletic player as a summary. Russ impacts the game in more ways than Chris Paul with scoring, assisting and rebounding. You can say you don’t want a PG who rebounds but you’re going to say no to a point guard who does the things Russ does and he’s also willing to give you boards?? Ron saying CP3 is a better ball player and Russ being a better overall player was pretty accurate. I know they’re going to keep talking about Russ’s shot too and makes sense. In Russ’s prime tho he was a good mid range shooter and similar level defender as CP3.. maybe slightly better given his size. If CP3 gets hurt in every big game and you use that as a cop out for him then maybe he isn’t durable which should factor into his ranking.
