I’m so glad you took a look at this kid. His voice is beautiful and so unusual it pulls you in to listen more closely. Benson was favored to win American Idol a couple years ago and dropped out to pursue his career. He made a good choice. I thought you might find him interesting! Thanks Bill!

My 9&10 year old sons introduced me to this song. I love it so much. They’re into music as much as I am, which is spectacular for bonding with them. Music was something me and my late father shared, too. My sons are my beautiful things. 🥰

I blast this song every day. And each time I thank god for my remarkable husband and my two beautiful little girls. They are my beautiful things. It took a few months of soaking this song up before I actually looked up who Benson is and his backstory. Shocked. Completely shocked. He is SO YOUNG and SO NEW to music. This song has the kind of honesty and soul to it that I expected from someone who had weathered years of addiction or some other major hardship, and came out the other side with a profound appreciation of healthy relationships and simple peace. I'm in my 40s and I though for sure this guy had lived a lifetime already - that's why this song resonates with all generations. It nails SO MUCH simple wisdom about LIFE. To come from a young young man, with that level of vocal control and comfort. Jeeezus, Benson, you have truly been blessed with a phenomenal talent. Phenomenal. Keep your good judgement as you navigate this wild world if fame. Once that genie is out of the bottle, you can't put it back in, and fame destroys many people. Stay grounded. I hope you live a long beautiful life and keep your music in a very healing place in your soul. Thank you for sharing it with us.

FYI - Benson's was raised in greater Seattle area (Monroe) and his Uncles are many Gen X rockers raised in Bellevue with Heart, Quensryche, and then all the grunge bands that followed after in the 90's (known and unknown)
