Elgin might be so easy to influence because he already was when he arrived to the town.. .. it was his role or destiny the kimono lady, the music box ballerina, Martian, the cicadas, all of this is connected, and the boy in white appeared to Elgin, saying they come for 3. None of it happen until everything was set in motion when Julie tossed the rope to Boyd, the boy in white manipulated it. Everything is connected, it's just hard for me to explain. Also remember, Sara was kind as she killed people thinking it was going to help as she listened to the voices.. she kissed buddy before she stabbed him in the throat, like a serial killer or something, she thought she was helping... so...Elgin is just under the influence

I think Elgin is being manipulated like Sarah was and i wish the two of them would have a conversation. He alone has contact with something that is telling him if he does what it asks they can all go home. He might be different than Sarah though in that i think he's thought more about this - like when he tells Fatima she doesn't understand it shows he has built an understanding and as a viewer i don't know what that understanding is. There's a small part of me that hopes maybe Elgin is right about something. But i know fromville tricks everyone and am uncertain there are good and helpful forces in this place at all.
