Trevor Blackwell demo'ed a seated electric unicycle back in 2004. Focus Designs (Daniel Wood) sold the seated SBU (self-balancing unicycle) series (SBU 1, 2, and 3). What the Solowheel changed to the existing designs was to replace the foot pegs with foot pedals, allowing a rider to exert a torque on the pedals, eliminating the need for a seat, so the seat was removed, allowing an EUC to be tilted much more for better cornering. A skater can turn on one skate because the blade is curved, while a unicycle can be turned by tilting due to camber effect (the inside of the contact patch has a smaller radius about the axis then the outside of the contact patch, resulting in a twisting torque, similar to a rolled cone will roll in a circle).

Great video eucVibes ... and Mr. Chen, they had flying chariots back in the early 1900's ... I've seen video online as some of you may have as well .. but of course that technology, along with over 6000 other patents has been suppressed by you know who ... but eventually it will come out. Gravity jet packs are here now buy whoa-fully expensive with short range ... but I agree ... travel thru the air is the next step ... but for now, we'll stay grounded.
