On the topic of tipping, I was picking up a sub at a place and when i swiped my card I put no tip bc the guy just stood there and did like 2 things. When I went to get my drink though they were out of medium cup lids and I asked him if he could get me one bc they were out. Kinda felt bad about not tipping after he had to get a damn ladder to reach the lids on the top of a freakin cabinet. I do think that tip culture is strange when ppl put tip jars in restrooms but ofc I leave a good tip at restaurants and places where it makes sense to.

@@jonahchickering4908 stealing tips that way is so risky because it leaves a direct paper trail. anyone who has notifications on purchases and/or checks their card statements will see the theft. and likely that restaurant will have its reputation tanked.

So Honda currently is having huge production issues. Their main chip plant burned down so now they’re building a new chip plant, but they can’t get Hondas and Acura’s out quick enough, especially the CRV and RDX. They’re usually sold either before or as soon as they hit lots

I work at a high volume bar and the average tip during late night service comes to about 10%. People will often leave $0 on $100+ tabs

Expecting 25% is social extortion, 20% is for way above average performance. 15 Percent should be the standard again. Also serving me a beer or bottle at a bar should not warrant the expected 1 dollar tip if I can open the damn thing myself.
