Not gonna lie, when I first saw the title of the video my original thought was "now why the hell would anyone do that, that's such a waste of time and resources" But I honestly got chills when he started explaining how he captures every sunrise. He isn't doing a 30 year time-lapse to make the cover of a magazine or headline morning news. Each day is the best day of someone's life, and simultaneously someone else's worst day of their life. This guy is creating a way for people to revisit the past, realize how far they have come, and see the beauty in every day. I have an immense amount of respect for Joe and his craft and all of the importance and responsibility he puts into his art.

@@nemomit5o695 it changes in a very precise, linear, predictable, consistent amount every day. It inches north till the equinox, then inches south till the solstice. It's just the earth wobbling. I have an app on my phone that tells exactly where the sun and moon will rise and set for literally any day in the future. And every planet and every constellation. So he wouldn't need to put any effort in, especially not with a wide lens.

I liked the video but wanted to see more changes in the across the city scape in a time lapse as that was what I was excited about when i saw the title. Dislikes are not seeing 30 years of New York, click bait. Also JOE making us wait until 2045 before he comments here again ( see his post) is like ordering a big meal and getting an enormous plate with a fancy sauce design and 2 olives and a a micro thin slice of salmon. Looks great but does the chef really think this is food, like he is aware that this makes serious money for the restaurant. Joe's post come across like that, like he still believes in the trend of thrift and fancy food with no substance.

Um no. Google is a monster that needs to be divided up via enforced antitrust legislation. I'm often SHOCKED at all these beard wearing beta male millenials that just BLINDLY are deeply in LOVE with google like it's the solution to EVERYTHING in life. No. They are just like any other giant corporation, heartless souless mofo's off to monopolize your data, comodify it, profit from it, exploit the patent system, lobby, and ensure they are never held accountable for anything. All the morons that work for google are no better than the morons that worked for Wells Fargo when they were openly stealing money from people. Where is Wells Fargo today? Still thousands of idiots bank with them. Of any generation, I'd think the "I know everything" millenial crowd would be the first to boycott poor behavior, instead, they REWARD it, but then run out and go on and on and on and on about made up issues instead of tangible issues that have a real affect on society.
