21:50 The drain tubes work a lot better in my opinion if you use a *XL* plastic syringe 💉 , with tubing attached. Siphon tubes don’t have enough force behind them in my experience. For anyone wondering how to make one. I just simply attach a pvc screw cap to some pvc pipe, and silicone it to the bottom of the tank. The pipe needs notched holes at the base to allow for water flow. Do that before you stick it down.

Can you post a link to the video setting up the vision cage?

Late comment but I've found that when keeping reptiles that produce a lot of waste, adding a deli cup full of the red earthworms that are sold at bait shops helps enormously with soil health and animal waste management.

What's some of the plants he had in with his corn, looking to add some to my bio active
Where on your site can I find the “Repti-seeds” you were mentioning?

Hey there! could you please clarify?

@@TheBioDudeJoshHalter Yes. You were talking about grass seeds for scrubland biomes while you and Eric were at the rattlesnake enclosure.

I'm sure that tank in question is a zoo med tank...I think I saw it at Petsmart recently. I could be wrong...but I've been scooping tanks pretty heavily. I want the perfect 1 to grow my plant babies. But exo terra is calling my name.

What is the species called for the blue snake on minute 28 in the video?
@TheBioDudeJoshHalter3 жыл бұрын
A sunda island pit viper, a sub species "blue version" of the white lipped tree vipers. gorgeous snakes!

Bad idea to use Porcellio laevis with dart frogs, I could write an article on it
@TheBioDudeJoshHalter3 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt, I agree with you 100% if the keeper is unaware of how to maintain, control and provide enough biomass for appropriate population control. The DC (esp) when young are a great feeder source for the larger Darts (Terribs, Larger Tincs) and I have found that as long as you provide enough food for the bugs (and a protein source) they do not harm or mess with the frogs as long as you the keeper are doing your due diligence. Now, if someone with little to no experience would ask to use them I would steer them away immediately and just recommend the dwarf whites and/or purples.

I'm surprised diffenbachias can be in with Isis...but I'm guessing she doesn't gnaw on them. Just goes to show different plants for different animals.

What an amazing collection, wonderful animals! Such beautiful set ups...i am definitely going bioactive for my cornsnake. And Mr. Eric, if you may want to check out Clint's reptiles channel for some of his builds...he uses gorilla glue and the results are pretty surprising, I hope is ok to share his link, this is what inspired me to go bioactive for my day gecko (by the way I bought most of my stuff at the bio-dude, the girl there that day was super helpful and my plants have taken off big time, not as pretty as yours but I think is looks really good. I did not remove the background though, I feared ruining the enclosure) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZe9ZaiwgbiAnJY
