The plaintiff dated the defendant, and they have a daughter together. The plaintiff claims while they were together, the defendant once punched her car windows and kicked her vehicle, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant admits he and the plaintiff fought, but the plaintiff was the violent one. He alleges the plaintiff even tried to run him over.

I get your point, but I believe as you are presenting your case about abuse, nothing should be funny especially if you have no proof & expect the Judge to believe your words. Some people smile when they’re nervous, I don’t think she’s making light of the situation. I grew up in an abusive household and my wife looked at me and my siblings crazy when we would laugh and talk about it. She and other people didn’t understand that, that was our reality. We were desensitized to it cause we grew up watching and experiencing it. It felt like the norm to us at first. Before someone says it yes we and our mother called the police several times and nothing ever came of it.
