Things happen in life Dave and we get stronger for it and learn to deal and cope with all the changes. It's this heartening to see the house in this condition. I had seen a video of this house about three years ago. And it looked like someone had just left and would be back any minute. Everything was in place. Now there's tons of stuff missing like furniture. It's just sad that people have such little respect for what is not theirs. But thank you for the video it's nice to see it again but sad.❤

Hi Dave, I loved this explore. It reminded me a lot of when I was wee. My mum (she now has late stage dementia) used to fix our clothes and we always had lots of books. I recognised quite a few of those old ones in there. My brother had lots of wee toy cars n him n me would make a race track using the old wooden clothes pegs. I loved the old farm animal toys too. So many memories left behind in that house. Its a beutiful house with stunning views. Just after you mentioned about smelling a smell of someone smoking and as you went up the tiny staircase I heard a noise, it may just have been the stairs but it sounded strange. It was at around 22.51 I really feel for you losing your wee nan, but she will always be with you in spirit. ❤

Hi Dave - what a great share, nice to see you and your crocs back out and about. What a great explore, I had to stop it for awhile when you found those little shoes - for some reason that really got me. It never ceases to amaze me about all of the stuff just left. Going around my own house yesterday, I would just stop and look around and try to image what others would see once we were gone. Plus all those things like furniture, dishes, photos, toys. Someone at some point went out and bought all of those things. Did they pick out furniture together, were they bits and pieces given by families and friends? Each item picked out of necessity or maybe just because it was cute. When did mum buy those little shoes and where did they sit and read those books to the children? David, your Nan is always with you and you will never “get over” missing her. Instead of not going on your adventures with you, now she can. Go get Mark and hang out, do something silly together. Your mates and family will help you through. God bless you David, and as always, stay safe❤

Your nan, I assume your grandmother? So sorry to hear that. It isn't easy, but try to think about all the good times you shared, the things she taught you, the love, the goodies she prob made just for you. Let all that goodness wash over you whenever you start to notice the sadness - and be glad for all the special feelings you have for her. SHE IS STILL WITH YOU, in your heart. All you have to do is call on her, and she'll help you through. The sadness will turn to melancholy, and in time you'll be able to enjoy those memories. Never forget them, but try to keep them in the place where your joy lives. Miss her, yes. But remember and enjoy in stead of being sad. You'll get there. Love you!

The fireplaces in every room including bedrooms was because of no central heating to be had back in the day. When I moved into my home 32 years ago I had the fireplaces taken out of if the bedrooms and central heating installed. Mainly because I had a fear of my kids messing around and setting the house on fire which is a major phobia of mine I was actually born and brought up in the house next door and my late parents and now my brother left the fireplaces in but blocked them off to save the cold comings through I used to collect the badges off the marmalade and jam jars etc. It wasn’t seen as offensive in the 60 and 70s. Now we know differently. I’m sure they were collecting them in the 60 and 70s too I’m sorry about your Nan but believe she is now able to come exploring with you ❤❤❤❤ The room with the piano we would have called the parlour or sitting room

The accordion 😭😭😭 I always wanted to learn to play one! My great grandfather was apparently really good at playing it! I ended up playing the flute instead!

Dave I have been following you for a little while now you are great at videos and also seem to been a kind and good hearted person . I lost my Grandma several years ago you never forget them and never stop loving them . Eventually you learn to except it . I’m sure your Nan was proud of the man you are and would not like to see you just depressed and lamenting after her ! She would want you to continue you journey of exploring and doing what you love ❤️ God Bless you and your Family from Chicago Il USA 🇺🇸

That machine is for like reading newspaper or looking at documents that have been transferred to microphish like a library would have. So many little things would still have value. Even the old teakettles. I always wonder if the children assuming they are still alive ever go back to their old home.... its sad 😔 Dosent look too badly decayed and gone. 😔

2 things: 1) at 22:46, as you're climbing the stairs, just before you say if feels like a Horror film, there is a little growling voice that sounds like it either says "Lee" or "Leave." 2) I lost my grandfather going on 5 years ago now next month (I can't believe it's already been that long), it took me nearly 2 years to stop just spontaneously crying when a thought or memory about him would wander through my mind, sometimes I would just cry without even thinking of him first, we were very close and it devastated me to lose him. Don't apologize for talking about your Nan, it's good for the healing process and we don’t mind. It gets easier to bear over time. Though I will say that my body and soul just know when the Anniversary approaches, I start to get sadder and more weepy, and I try to take the day of off from work because it can get too hard to function.

Sorry to hear about your Nan. I lost my Gaggy a year ago and life will never be the same. I miss him every day. I love having little minders of his and wee things to reminder me of him...i dont understand why family members leave their relatives things to rot like that. 😢

So sad. I find it such a shame that people obviously had family - yet all that stuff is still there. People keep and cherish things and then family let it sit and rot. Thanks
