True, lots of guys never replace cam bearings. We call them hacks...I was a hack when I was young and didn't know any better. Cam bearings control oil pressure. You don't have to have good consistent oil pressure, but it helps..
@raystevens6873 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob that 1956 chevy dashboard did you put that in your truck. I was considering doing that to my 1998 GMC SONOMA. Any advice would be cool 😎 thanks Ray in Idaho
@s.v.gadder14437 жыл бұрын
I think you should have put a little kicker inside on the bottom to kinda push the air up towards the turbo,if that makes sense? Idk just a thought

-6 is way to small bro you run -10 to really feed those injestor and not starve the fuel pump. Unless ur are running stock fuel system. Anyway awsome build bro!!
@SPPTVarmy5 жыл бұрын
It has -8 feed and -6 return. Plenty for this combo

What type of wastegate do you guys use on your builds?
@SPPTVarmy3 жыл бұрын
Clayton has a Turbonetics gate, Rob uses Precision on the Nova and China Lilly’s on The Shithorse and S10
@blindabinda12347 жыл бұрын
Another option for Wastegate positioning is to cut a hole right in the hot side of the turbo near the flange and put it there.
@blindabinda12347 жыл бұрын
You should either have a waste gate in each exhaust bank or have one bigger one after the Y. If not you might end up with a significant amount of boost creep that can cause some big problems.

Might weld a couple of nuts on the outboard side of of the turbo flange. Getting under there to install/remove could be a pain in the ass.
@whatyareckon59857 жыл бұрын
You should move the wastegate closer to the turbo, as close as possibe.

That's a great price for a used ls engine. I'm in Michigan and I was pricing a used 6.0 aluminum block from a guy that parts out vehicles from an auction. He wanted $3500 usd for an 80,000 mile engine. How far are you from Sarnia?

Hey guys im planning on doing an LS swap do you know a cheaper way to do the wiring harness and computer all the kits I've seen are like a thousand bucks or more is there a way to wire up the stock one someone please help this has me stuck as i can't afford a thousand bucks!
@novaracer20007 жыл бұрын
Aaron Mohler all the info is on lt1swap.com I am using a stock harness and will make some videos of the wiring modifications

@CaptnCall7 жыл бұрын
I reworked my harness into a stand alone and glad I did. The neutral safety switch and the gear position indicator switch like on a 4l60e aren't on the new harnesses that are out there. Lt1swap.com has all the information you need, you just have to know what your questions are.
@Shadow0fd3ath247 жыл бұрын
really all you do is buy a junkyard harness and take out the pins you dont need and rewrap it. really nice Standalones are available under $500 on ebay

And hey, if it means starting over, THAT would be representing "best fab", not beeing afraid to re do it to make it the RIGHT way. I mean, what kind of an example is this..... seriously. +, i mean, its not like your in any rush!!! Cheap dont mean do it any fucking way!! Not bashing in anyway.... just a bit deceived by your attitude. Oh, and please stop moving the camera so fn fast!!!!!! LOL!!!!
