The only mistake this man made was not looking into who holds the drilling leases and rights in New Mexico and who owns stock in that oil. That would answer a lot of questions as to why it Alaska is being shut down and why it went from 1 million to 2 million barrels.

Problems occur when the government intervenes to distort markets by picking winners and losers.
