Do you think it was easy for a woman, a black woman, at that time to just get a divorce? To find a new house with the children and so on and take care of them without the father? I don't think she stayed with him out of love. Unfortunately, sometimes you don't have any other option.
@kiwiwi24332 сағат бұрын
@kallisto3263 I am a black woman and i know how difficult it can be especially if you dont have a job but she had two successful sons. You think they were gonna refuse to help ? The house that was bought wasn't the dad. As a pastor i doubt he is making money. She stayed for religion even though adultery is way more condemned. If she was that worried financially how come she magically found the courage to leave at the end ?
@ajaugenti1976Сағат бұрын
Agreed.
@muclev33 минут бұрын
@@kiwiwi2433 A few issues. Successful? The man is in deep debt and IRS. 'Magically'? Dad shot her son. She clearly was concerned about other people's opinions regarding her leaving him before. Now, this offers her justification enough in the eyes of any reasonable person aka, "he killed my son for Chrissake!" Not to mention that she's protecting herself from a murderer. Anyway, it was a miscarriage of justice, evidence of how little the yt [justice] systems cared for bc affairs, even concerning top bc folk.

I dunno if I believe this "plan" - that seems a lot for last words. I kind of hate his mother a bit. I know that's victim blaming, but so many people believe that staying in a horribly abusive situation is somehow better. I know it's part of the abuse that they become afraid of leaving. But Gaye's life would have been so much different if he had some help.
