I was thinking along the same lines, but trying for a 1/2" to 3/4" (12mm to 20mm) drop and using resin colored with an opalescent powder. Add the necessary hardware for matching earrings and necklace. I am just beginning my journey into the world of resin. Money and time puts a limit on what I can do, especially when it comes to experimenting. A late bloomer, I have now entered my 70's and still trying to keep up with 5 acres, 4 over demanding rescue dogs and 2 money burning equines. They are all a bunch of ingrates that feign affection at meal time. For these reasons, I am so grateful to you, Daniel, and other crafts persons of your caliber for sharing your knowledge and skills.

@@daniel..cooper I just made one! Not as pretty as yours but it worked. Are you using thick resin?
@daniel..cooper Жыл бұрын
@Ali-H3444 yay, mine is low viscosity. I think the soap needs to maybe be the same or a little thicker than the resin, it's still early testing to know 100% but that makes sense to me.

Hi Daniel....thank YOU for such awesome videos and experiments! Your experiment above has just given me an idea..........BUT I am sure it will take FOREVER! Mix a tiny bit of UV resin in different mixing bowls.....add different colors in each bowl IE one red, one blue, one green, one yellow etc. Once mixed, drop little droplets/balls onto a silicon mat and then cure them. In the end you will have a lot of different colored droplets/balls and then you either, put them together with resin OR use them as inserts in a mold. So it will look like a rainbow of colors. I think that would be super pretty - imagine in a heart? I think there is something to try! 🙂
