I definitely think that Katie meant to kill Mary and it was premeditated. She was working at the same chiropractic medicine office as Mary and she would know how much of a dose to give in order for an overdose to happen because she would have the same expertise as Mary. I feel like it's not a coincidence that she got sick right after lunch and almost anyone had access to the lunch room. The relationship between Adam and Katie was on and off again and the time when Adam broke it off finally, I think she snapped. I think she killed her ex-boyfriend’s mom as both a way to have Adam come crawling back to her and getting back together but also as a way to get back at Adam for rejecting her knowing how close he was with his mom. It just seems pretty excessive to kill her boyfriend’s mom as revenge though but I still think she was responsible for her death and the right person was caught. Also, you can't forget that she was pretty quiet once she was confronted by the police of the evidence against her. She also cried and said her life was over. At that moment, she knew she was caught and she wasn't going home that night. Katie was one of the closest people to Mary and hung out with her the most, so she's the only one I see murdering her and the person I see having a motive. Towards the end of the video, I also saw Katie having a different motive. Maybe she wasn't doing too well financially as she hoped and she was jealous of Mary so killing her had nothing to do with revenge on her ex-boyfriend but she was killed out of jealousy. It could've gone down that way too.

Hailey is such a dreamy "girl next door". I love "chatting" with you and you're so pretty and entertaining. Thank you so much. You're one of the few channels I can enjoy without getting stressed out (ironically based on the subject matter LOL)

Personally I typically prefer without makeup version of these videos bc I find it weird to talk about an entire family getting murdered while the youtuber is doing her eyeshadow or something. It wont matter for me anyway since I mostly listen to the audio only so do what you feel most comfortable in!

I agree with doing makeup alongside true crime. Its different, original and educational in more than one way. Besides, she's beautiful, its cool watching her do art in her face while listening to these interesting topics + i don't know if its just me but her voice is so satisfying and whenever I want to do some cooking or cleaning or art I put up one of these videos and its the perfect combination

Perfect right in time for me to do my late morning routine lol thank you 😊 back to the roots with makeup. I think respectfully to the story and people in the story its better and more respectful without the makeup.

I love your video style and your respectful delivery. I enjoy the makeup, because it makes these videos feel like girl time bonding while we share stories of people who were wronged, not only keeping their memory alive, but also serving as ongoing evidence that violence against women is disproportionately real. True crime has existed for decades upon decades, and only when it became popular with women did the community come under major fire. There are legitimate critiques, but whether or not makeup is "disrespectful" is entirely determined by the speaker's tone and the video script. Your delivery is always on point, and that's the most important aspect of making true crime content.

I love your work Hailey, but I think the makeup visuals are better for conspiracy type videos. Some find that the “makeup true crime” scene is insensitive, because it seems like discussing these crimes are more so for entertainment downplaying what these things has done to others. It’s almost like it glamorizes the crimes to be seen as something that can be easily discussed over such a menial task. Although I love the way you talk about the cases :)

Personally, I enjoy the makeup application. I get bored sometimes with just someone talking. My brain needs more stimulation sometimes to keep it from running away. Plus it's relaxing watching people apply makeup. It reminds me of watching my mom apply makeup when I was a child. 🥰

I'm like 90% sure it was Katie. I definitely don't think it was Adam, at least. If it were, he would have had to go to Katie's work computer and purchase the meds from his email so that it looked like Katie did it but was trying to frame him. I don't think the typical day-to-day murderer would come up with such an elaborate plan. Framing your girlfriend by deceiving people into believing that she's framing you? I don't think so. It could be William I guess, but I'd need more information.

I always want to give the "woman scorned" the benefit of the doubt, because it's a misogynistic stereotype based completely on men's interpretation of women's behavior, (and supposedly 'out of control' emotional states,) but I just can't understand Katie's actions if she wasn't the killer. If it wasn't Katie, neither her behavior - nor Adam's - make any sense. Aside from her creepy 'poisoning' research, and specifically using _his_ email at _her_ house, why would Adam keep the bottle in his car after Mary was murdered? Is her defense claiming that Adam or Will went over to Katie's to use her computer for this one order before pretending to be out of town? If it were Will who killed his wife, why would he order the poison under his son's name from Katie's house? Why would Will plant the bottle in his own son's car?

I absolutely love that you’re back doing makeup. It’s really not about the makeup at all, it was your humour, it was your facial expressions, it was everything. I love your podcast, but THIS is where I found you and this is what I’ll always come back to! 😭🫶🏼

Well done, Hailey. I haven't seen your true crime/makeup videos before - but the format totally works for me. You always cover cases respectfully, intelligently and in an engaging way. The makeup visual really does help me focus on the information, which is a fun surprise for me. Nice one ✨❤️👍

Btw I love every single one of your videos, weather or not your doing make up. I really enjoy your fun personality or just hearing about your day, even if you think that’s boring, it’s not boring to me. You’re very creative and you have very nice relaxing vibes. I watch your videos to start my day or when I’m feeling alone. Whatever content you make, I promise you, you make great content. I truly don’t like many KZbinrs, but you’re one of my favorites, I appreciate how real and authentic you are with us and you should do whatever you want in your videos regardless if there’s a mistake and you feel embarrassed or something, I truly don’t mind. I like just seeing you do your thing and be a creative person. ❤

Hailey is the best at this. Not to name names, but others are disrespectful by making faces and inappropriate comments. Hailey is a beautiful girl, inside and out, and presents these topics professionally. The make-up is really interesting too! As a painter it helps me develop my craft by watching her techniques.
