Wonderful distinctions. Looks like a perfect use for the foam balls that came with my new hard rubber tray - that I *thought* were gonna be like the "almost" golf balls, but that are significantly "squishier". Much safer practice. 🙂 Fascinating that the two of you have different preferences.

Milo, whenever I experiment with dropping the handle (which is one of the points that often gets repeated online for hitting flop shots or high greenside bunker), I always feel like the toe is pointing up. Unless I have the ball sitting nicely on tall grass, my miss is usually toe hits and/or the heel of the club digging the ground (or sand, for bunker shots). Am I doing something wrong?
