This was when we had musicians that were master's at their craft. Thank God for KZbin so if you're too young to have lived it you can still experience it. Phil Collins was the drummer and lead singer for the English rock band named Genesis formed in 1967. I remember very well because it was the year I graduated high school and I loved rock bands as well as many other genres of music. 1960s, 1970s, 1980s was rich with talent. Enjoy!! And yes my brother.... We did get moist !! 😂😂

It makes me smile when I see younger people getting so excited about the music I was lucky enough to grow up with. I'll be 58 in December, my wife and I saw Phil Collins in Grand Rapids, Mich. around 2004. Hey, next time a concert you think you'd like to see..Just DO IT! You will not regret it, Cheers mates.

This masterpiece is proof that good music touches hearts no matter of age! For those who don't know details about Phil Collins: he was born in 1951, an English drummer, singer, record producer, songwriter, and actor. Collins is considered one of the world best, accomplished artists. Between 1982 and 1990, Collins achieved three UK and seven US number-one singles in his solo career. He said that story of this song (only a story, mind you, not reality) is that he saw the guy his wife cheated him with drowning and just stared while voraciously taking in the revenge. It's the song of a strong passion, the hartred taking over the soul.

The synchronization between Phil and Nic on this song, in the live performances I’ve seen posted, is just amazing. It is virtually impossible to tell any difference between this performance from 2003 or 2004, and what we hear now with Phil and Nic during the Not Dead Yet tour from 2016 to 2019, when Nic was 15 to 18. With the announcement of Genesis’ The Last Domino? Tour, Nic officially became the drummer as a full member of a Genesis at age 19; ironically the same age Phil was when he cofounded Genesis.

Ya'll make me feel hope for our country. In these times of such division, we need more people like ya'll that are willing to look at other ways of living. As a white person, I just assumed that EVERYBODY has heard this great singer or at the very least, this song. I stand corrected and am humbled that ya'll are able to open your minds and hearts to bridge the gap. I am willing to "respond" to the music that ya'll grew up with. Would love some suggestions from ya'll.

Phil Collins is the goat of writing songs the drums the synthesizer anything you put in his hand he can play this song was written about the pain and hurt that he had after finding out about his wife having an affair and divorce but damn this song never gets old it is hard to play any instrument including what he plays all instruments and write and sing to each one of them he is an amazing man lives here in Miami Florida unfortunately having trouble with his last wife but there are many many more of these beautiful songs that he has written and played you look up his son and you will see Nick Collins playing with his father it is an awesome idea awesome that his children are following in his footsteps Nick has a band hearing Miami unfortunately Miami is in a sad State at this moment God bless peace be with you much love and respect you both Rock I just subscribed thank you

You have to watch him at Live Aid. He started off in London, doing a set, flew over to America by Concorde and performed the drums on stage for Led Zeppelin at Live Aid in Philadelphia.
