A lot of Roll Top desks have hidden compartments for valuables.

So very true. I used to work at a high end yearly antique show here in L.A. and they once had this desk that was so big it was half the size of most bedrooms I have lived in. It had numerous hidden compartments, and they even found another as yet unknown one while setting up the desk that morning. There was some old parchment documents in that, so they were having them inspected by another merchant who also had a selling space there that specializes in those. The desk was about 200 years old at that time.

We found a secret compartment with a bank envelope that had $1400 cash in it, usually the secret place is around the middle or inside the top right drawer with a false bottom.

The banker’s desk was pretty nice and the bookshelf looked like real wood, not particle board. Sorry to hear about all the problems, but glad they are solved now. At 18:41 it’s a roll top desk probably 1960’s it’s in really good shape. My uncle had one years ago that was a little bigger and he used as a office desk. Nice units and good price too. Glad you guys made it home safe.. can’t wait to see your new house. God Bless🙏🏻

My mother add a coffee table that she got it back in the early seventies you might have a nice retro table that was a 1 minute and 30 seconds at the beginning of the film. The word you were looking for at the beginning of the second video when you were looking at the pumpkin sculpture is potpourri
