I think we've had enough time to "learn" Gerwyn Price.@@dontbewoke he is whom he is, and he deserves taking his childish reactions with a pinch of salt. I used to hate him first, you know the Grand Slam mess against Gary Anderson, but he's been playing against the audience for years now and I realised I actually support him the same way I wanted Ted Hankey to win. I'd say MvG pumping the edge of the exclusion zone with his front foot during his opponent's throw is much more annoying than Gerwyn's antics.

Price was pretty bitter inside in my opinion, he couldnt even hold back that in his mind he was the better player throughout the match, Luke was just better in the right moments. I was rooting for Price, but for the most part of the Match Luke was CLEARLY the better player. Last weeks were an indicator what was coming from Luke. I think hes a Top 2 Player at the Moment. Congratulations!

Luke’s throw should be studied. So smooth and effortless! And seems like he’s using a lot of fingers so he has full control of the dart.

It's super smooth, but as SuperChalkster says, it is tough to learn to perfect - Luke obviously figured it out though. But of all players, if the first dart goes into a triple he wants, Luke (and maybe Smith) is the I believe will hit the 2nd/3rd in the same bed, the most!

Thoughts below: Sometimes I love it when I’m wrong. I said Luke didn’t stand a chance. It was looking bleak after that first set but after that he burst into life! I like how John Part called him an “ice breaker” after that 170 (come. on.) and then the 138 to win it… congratulations, Luke. Finally a major win! And hopefully not the last.

What a standard in the final. I know it was 5-2 but it was a fantastic final with both players playing very well but Luke Humphries did the right things in the right moments and deserves to be a major champion, i said it just 2 weeks ago that hes gonna win a major soon and hes just gone and won the WGP and what a way to win it with a scintillating 138 checkout. Thats gotta be up there with one of the best checkouts to win a major title. I am very happy for him but at the same time gutted for Gezzy as well coz he played well and on another day he could have been the one with the trophy but its Lukes day and i met him a few days ago after he played Peter Wright and i told him i believe ur gonna win multiple major titles and he said yeah i hope so. This is the first of many for Cool Hand. Lovely tournament and a worthy champion. Ive really enjoyed this whole week, meeting a lot of the top players and i think its the last year its gonna be in Leicester so im glad i made the most of it.
