To clear up something about the dungeons and monsters ranks because I feel like people will keep getting confused with those: When a gate is classified as a certain rank, it doesnt mean that all the monsters in it are of this rank (so just because a gate is C rank not all monsters in it are C rank monsters). A gate is classified based on the *total amount of magic energy the monsters in it emenate* (its been mentioned in the first couple of episodes). For example a really big amount of E rank monsters + a D rank boss could make a gate C rank. And a small amount of D rank monsters + a C rank boss could also make a gate C rank. The ants in the C rank dungeon obviously were not C rank monsters (they were probably low D or E rank). But their huge numbers + the fact the the dungeon boss was a pretty strong C rank one, made the gate C rank. I hope this helps

The pop up screens answer most of your questions, as well as the previous episodes. All the context is there, some even enough to hint towards future episodes, it's just a matter of paying attention. One thing to add though, that beast was either high B or low A rank. Not just that, but also that dagger has paralyze and bleed effects. Just like some souls games, even with higher rank monsters, hitting them enough time will activate effects on them. If it wasn't for his broken weapon, AND/OR if the beast was stronger, jinwoo wouldn't have survived.
