Especially because my 16 year old nephew and another person in the vehicle, was killed due to the driver being under the influence....... misleading and intentionally lying to get people to watch is not acceptable. I know many businesses shy away from hiring criminals, and people with certain issues. I us8hired people based on my in person conversation. I didn't sit down with notes, and forms, adhering to some interview routine. If I thought you were a good fit, you were hired. However, if you lied to me, I would call them out. If they lied again it was over. I always gave people out of jail/prison, or other issues opportunities. I would tell them up front, tell me the truth so I know, and we will do whatever needs to be done to give you a good job. The female defense attorney was pushing Boyd hard to let her client out before the holidays. Her client lied to the judge when asked about drug use so, Boyd wasn't feeling generous but the attorney kept trying to get her to change her mind, it was obvious the judge was getting annoyed.

Not sure, but the judge seems pretty mellow during this court session. Ie the huge amount of time she spent with the guy (foolish man!) who ended up pro se. That was a bit of a surprise. The atty. was lucky she was released.

My dau was an asst. state prosecutor & she always kept a dress suit & shoes in her office. But, they may not have had a chance to get to their office (and their change-of clothes) and the state may have cleared it with the judge. (???)

Judge Boyd hit the nail on the head! I love remembering things from my childhood! I always wanted make childhood memories for my children. One of which was making sure they knew what a Dick and Jane book was. But watching all these trials makes me wonder what are the children of today going to have as childhood memories? I like this judge but I don't like the questions about "What's up with the facial tattoo?" I understand why she would want to ask that but it holds no legal salience, so what business is it of her's? The correct answer to that question which he under no circumstances should have voiced is "What's up with your glasses?" or hair, or purse, or any other irrelevant thing. He's not standing there because of his facial tattoo. Facial tattoos and free self expression are legal, within reason.
