Whats so terrifying about this kid is that ive seen him do 4 moves that hes practiced in drills with his dad on Gils personal channel. They put up 2-3 hour videos of them working out and he is utilizing the drills to score on pros and it looks exactly like the drills. Contact be damned. He is legit going to be a monster. No telling how much more height he is gonna get but he can only get stronger and faster from here while becoming more efficient.

I agree he’s tough and deserves all the credit he gets and more, but we have to acknowledge there’s guys with more talent than alijah who won’t ever get a chance due to their situation. Alijah definitely isn’t pure nepotism but if he wasn’t being brought up, trained and motivated by an NBA great he wouldn’t be the same player. For example he would not be training with these top guys if he wasn’t an NBA son 😂
@zacchfromdalou96792 ай бұрын
What?? So what are your saying? That your upset that his father did what yours couldn’t and now that’s his fault?? Gtfo with the entitlement… there’s plenty of top ranked kids from the trenches still and they don’t have half of the mentality Alijah has, we all know Gil is krazy and would never let his son grow up thinking he was better than others, he goes to public school and rode the bus with them kids, only advantage he really had is he has a court at his crib and his dad friends all respect his game enough to take time out of they day to show him stuff🤧💯

Ok...Gilsarena is taking a different approach to nurturing his kid in basketball. He puts him on a team where he is unquestioned star of team leader in every category. That means he gets relentless amount of attempts and can make mistakes and play right through those mistakes better refine his skill set which has benefited his aggressive and sometimes I'm shooting everything approach. Yes. that is a way to get your son on the map particularly when you the son of ex NBA player but once he gets on a team with the level of intensity he plays at that could be a real challenge of him sharing pill more than he would like. So let's be clear he is playing the weaker competition for sure and doing it well which is not his fault. I just wonder how this development will translate later on when on a team with bigger, faster, equally athletic and also guys that want to make a name for themselves so they may be reluctant to want to give up the rock to him like the kids that are not as talented and gifted as him on his current high school team. It's not nepotism because he padding stats on weaker teams. Put him on a Montverde or over there with the Boozer boys and then let's see how those stats will look. Let's just say it will not be the gaudy numbers he puts up on nightly basis on this low level team and competition he plays in. Rarely do high school stats translate to the pros or college. Why? The competition is much higher, the college scheme are team oriented meaning you have to share that rock and is difficult to score big numbers for that reason. In the pros, you are competing against the best of the best and naturally those easy drives to the basketball get much more complicated and many High Schoolers struggle to make the jump to the pros and be instant success. Most guys find themselves learning the NBA game before they can adjust to talent level, game speed and Nuances of the NBA game. Man please, he playing at the school he playing at because his father chose that school. He could easily play with national team where he has to share the pill more and bet those numbers would be what he putting up now. Why? He would have to learn to share the scoring load and sacrifice his one on one attempts so naturally those numbers would be less attractive. Does the kid have talent? Yes. But let's be clear he would not be the man like he is not if Gilbert put him on more competitive roster. Lebron could easy put Bryce on a trash or less talented team and so Bryce could dominate the basketball and score all these points but what good would that do for him in learning how to fit in with other great players which is what the NBA is all about. Unless, he Lebron type hype then he ain't going skate into the league without proving himself at the more competitive college level. Brandon Boston was top 5 projected pick in mock drafts and then he went to college. Guess what, he fell all the way to the 2nd round and is now struggle to even be in the league. He just got an exhibit 10 contract which is non guaranteed deal. A training camp invite. He could possibly be on the outside looking in so don't jump to conclusion with your "He's the opposite of NBA Nepotism". Trust me, he has privilege with the type of training and platform he is currently playing on is all because of his pops. Nepotism is more than just your kid getting to the NBA. Nepotism happens at all levels and Gilbert Arenas' kid is no different.
